What You'll Do
As a Field Service Engineer, you will play an important role in helping our customers maximize the performance, reliability, and safety of their imaging equipment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Maintain exceptional customer satisfaction on billed, warranty, and contract service calls.
- Travel throughout the Southeast to support customer service and installation needs.
- Evaluate, troubleshoot, and complete assigned service calls efficiently and accurately.
- Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude while representing CMS Imaging.
- Complete all required service documentation, including regulatory and quality-related reports.
- Obtain customer acknowledgment and signatures on completed service documentation.
- Follow up with customers within 48 hours of completed service visits to ensure satisfaction.
Essential Duties
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair medical imaging and X-ray equipment.
- Coordinate with Customer Support Representatives and Service Dispatch regarding repair parts and logistics.
- Verify repair part ordering and delivery status.
- Work with high-voltage electrical systems, including 208V to 480V three-phase AC power.
- Properly utilize personal radiation monitoring equipment.
- Comply with OSHA, DHEC, FDA, and company safety requirements.
- Complete all required service, quality, expense, overtime, and regulatory documentation.
Essential Functions
- Perform complete installations of X-ray and medical imaging systems.
- Assist with equipment transport, assembly, and setup.
- Complete FDA Form 2579 (Report of Assembly of a Diagnostic X-Ray System).
- Safely operate rigging and material-handling equipment.
- Perform radiation calibrations and quality control procedures.
- Participate in equipment installations, site planning, preventive maintenance inspections, and technical training.
- Support and mentor fellow team members as opportunities arise.
- Support CMS Imaging sales initiatives, including service contract opportunities.
- Provide on-site technical support in clinical environments when required.

What You Bring
Required Qualifications
- Five (5) years of field service experience in Medical Imaging preferred.
- Manufacturer training in medical imaging equipment preferred.
- Completion of an approved X-Ray or Medical Imaging technical program.
- Electronics degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Technical Knowledge & Skills
- Medical imaging and X-ray equipment service and installation
- Electronic troubleshooting and repair
- Circuit boards, processors, and computer hardware/software
- Preventive maintenance and calibration procedures
