About Pelican Bay Foundation
Pelican Bay Foundation is a master homeowners association and premier luxury community in Naples, FL. One of the area’s largest exclusive enclaves, it spans more than three square miles and is bordered by pristine white-sand beaches. Our community offers one of the most diverse slates of amenities and activities in the region.
The Foundation manages all amenities and common areas, including two beach facilities with private restaurants, three racquet facilities, two boardwalks, a fitness and wellness center, a community center, and approximately 90 acres of land. A critical part of this responsibility includes ensuring compliance with all governing documents, state statutes, and regulatory requirements.
Position Status: Part-Time (Year-Round)
Employment Status: Non-Exempt
Schedule: Varies, including nights, weekends and holidays. Mainly M-F, 2-7pm

Overall Responsibilities
This position is responsible for performing a variety of operational functions required, ensuring that the Community Center operates efficiently. The Front Desk Receptionist reports directly to the Lifestyle Manager. These duties will range from answering the phone and taking reservations, maintaining and managing the event/meeting calendar, to assisting the Lead Facilities Maintenance Technician for the execution of meeting and event set up and take down of Community Center Functions. You must be customer service-oriented and prepared to efficiently perform a variety of tasks while maintaining a positive attitude.
Description of Duties Performed
- Open and close facility by following the appropriate checklist.
- Meet member needs through personal recognition and by providing quality service.
- Make sure everyone who enters is properly checked in, and guest registration completed with appropriate fitness attire.
- Answer phone in courteous manner and forward calls to proper locations.
- Assist members with registration and detailed information regarding classes and other activities conducted at the facility.
- Be the point person for Community Center general inquiries, booking of Foundation meetings and neighborhood association meetings.
- Assist Lifestyle Manager with orchestration of meetings, socials, and events including but not limited to set up take down of the room set up, check-in, greeting, and payment for different activities, meetings and events.
- Record and report member comments and Incidents to the Lifestyle Manager
- Monitor and maintain brochures, class schedule, and assist in maintaining current bulletin boards.
- May attend weekly or monthly seasonal staff meetings.
Qualifications and Experience
- Successful experience of 1-3 years in which the primary responsibility is providing courteous and responsive services to customers, guests, or members in a customer-service position.
- Proficiency in POS operation and Northstar resource knowledge is a plus.
- Ability to tactfully respond to situations and can problem solve.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Must be organized, able to do basic math, keep accurate and legible records.
- Knowledge in Zoom, Microsoft Office programs, and ability to train on reservation system.
- Demonstrate the ability to perform with little supervision and to remain calm and make rational decisions in crisis situations.
- A work history which shows dependable performance over an extended period.
- Maintain current CPR/AED certification, knowledgeable about emergency facility evacuation
Education
- Minimum High school diploma/GED or equivalent
- Any combination of education, training, and work experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities as described.
