Medical Assistant - Cedar Park
Description

Join our growing sleep medicine practice dedicated to diagnosing and managing sleep apnea through innovative, patient-centered care. While our patients are evaluated and treated virtually by a Nurse Practitioner through telemedicine, the Medical Assistant serves as the in-office point of contact, providing hands-on support and ensuring a seamless experience throughout the patient's care journey. From coordinating home sleep testing and assisting with patient education to supporting follow-up care and administrative processes, this role is essential in connecting patients with the care they need and helping them successfully navigate their treatment plan.


Key Responsibilities:

• Follow up with patients to support their therapy and encourage treatment completion.

• Coordinate referrals to appropriate providers for Treatment.

• Monitor and follow up with patients regarding compliance and treatment success.

• Schedule patient appointments and collect co-pays in advance of telemedicine visits.

• Participate in telemedicine visits to educate and guide patients on next steps.

• Collaborate with sleep medicine specialist to ensure continuity and quality of care.

• Dispense, track, and monitor Home Sleep Test (HST) devices.

• Follow up with patients who have not returned HST devices and assist with troubleshooting.


Requirements
  • Medical Assistant certification or 2+ years of clinical administrative experience in a medical setting.
  • Strong communication and follow-up skills with a patient-first mindset.
  • Comfortable working with telemedicine platforms and electronic medical records.
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage tracking and coordination tasks independently.
  • Experience in sleep medicine or pulmonary care is a plus, but not required.

Salary Description
$17.00-$22.00 Per Hour
