Renaissance Milwaukee West, premium distinctive AAA Four Diamond hotel, is seeking a Public Area Attendant to join our team!

Summary:
The Public Area Attendant is responsible for cleaning all public locations on the property to brand and company standards. These locations include and not limited to: public and associate restrooms, lobby and front desk area, guest fitness center, guestroom hallways, associate offices, and breakroom.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Cleans and maintains public areas of the property.
- Promptly reports emergencies, accidents, injuries, missing articles, damage, engineering items, and safety hazards to management.
- Maintains knowledge on hotel facilities and services to assist guests, as appropriate.
- Impresses guests with quality and timely service in a pleasant and friendly manner.
- Reviews assignments, retrieves and stocks cleaning cart to ensure all supplies are available to properly clean.
- Walks all assigned spaces at beginning and end of shift to ensure proper cleanliness is maintained.
- Removes newspapers, trash, empties ash receptacles, and addresses any areas that require immediate cleaning.
- Cleans assigned public areas by dusting, polishing, vacuuming, glass cleaning, and trash removal.
- Cleans public elevators.
- Cleans public restrooms and stocks with supplies.
- Perform quality checks on public space televisions, telephones, and lamps.
- Cleans offices, as assigned.
- Uses proper cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Performs duties of Houseperson, Room Attendant, or Laundry Attendant as assigned.
- Attends department meetings as scheduled.
- Reports on time and in proper uniform.
- Maintains consistent professional and positive attitude and actions when communicating with guests and associates.
- Reports any incidents of guest dissatisfaction or unusual matters of significance to manager / supervisor so that corrective measures may be taken.
- Complies with policies and procedures.
- Practices safe work habits and complies with sanitary, safety, security and emergency procedures.
- Writes shift reports including reports on any incidents of theft, accidents or injuries when assigned.
- Check with manager / supervisor before leaving work area for any reason.
Qualifications:
- High school education or one plus years related experience.
- Familiarity with hospitality industry practices.
- Ability to operate a vacuum, mop, and properly use cleaning equipment and supplies
- Provides friendly guest service.
- Attention to detail with good organizational skills and efficient time management.
- Consistent professional attitude and behavior with effective listening and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining flexible and efficient.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Compensation:
- The starting hourly pay for this position is $17.00.
