Job Title: Ski and Snowboard Program Assistant
Reports To: Ski Program Director
Job Status: Seasonal Part-Time (approx. 24-32 hours/week) exempt, (November through mid-April)
Location: BOEC Adaptive program office at Keystone
Position Summary
The BOEC Ski and Snowboard Program Assistant is a seasonal, part-time position designed to work in direct partnership with the BOEC Program & Office Coordinator. Working three days per week, this role balances two days of independent program coverage with one shared day of collaborative planning, administrative support, and peak-volume facilitation alongside the coordinator.
Under the direction of the Ski Program Director and day-to-day guidance from the Program & Office Coordinator, the Assistant ensures seamless continuity in daily office oversite, participant registration, customer service, and adaptive instruction.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Office & Administrative Operations
- Support daily Keystone office operations on assigned days, including answering phones, maintaining center cleanliness, and managing/inventorying supplies.
- Greet participants, families, and guests upon arrival, facilitating a smooth check-in experience.
- Update daily staff and lesson schedules in Salesforce to reflect actual lessons, staffing, and schedule changes.
- Lead or co-lead daily morning staff, intern, and volunteer briefings to review lesson assignments, safety notices, weather, and resort updates.
- Process lesson reservations, review waivers, and update actual daily staff/lesson schedules in Salesforce.
- Process financial transactions, including cash, check, and credit card payments for lessons, reservations, retail sales, and donations. Maintain petty cash and reconcile transaction receipts with BOEC finance staff.
Adaptive Ski Instruction & Staff Support
- Provide adaptive ski and snowboard instruction on high-volume days or during instructor coverage gaps when needed.
- Assist the Coordinator and Assistant Director with staff, intern, and volunteer training clinics.
- Assist with the organization, setup, and maintenance of adaptive ski equipment.
- Assist with on-hill safety monitoring, lesson observation, and tracking incident reports for management review when requested.
Program & Team Collaboration
- Participate in weekly overlap planning sessions with the Program & Office Coordinator to ensure smooth handoffs, consistent scheduling, and aligned daily operations.
- Welcome daily volunteers and assist in addressing operational questions and lesson assignments.
- Assist the Ski Program Director and Assistant Director with daily lesson assignments and scheduling for instructors, interns, and volunteers as needed.
- Communicate staff performance, conduct, safety, and other workplace concerns to the Ski Program Director or Assistant Ski Program Director, including concerns that may require coaching, corrective action, or disciplinary follow-up.
Position Details & Benefits

- Schedule: Typical schedule is 8:00am to 5:00 pm, 3-4 days a week.

- Prior adaptive ski or snowboard teaching experience with strong ski/riding skills.
- Current PSIA Adaptive Level I required, Level II preferred.
- Familiarity with Windows, MS Office, Google Workspace, and ability to learn Salesforce.
- Knowledge of adaptive ski equipment and basic mechanical skills.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills, both verbal and written, with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while following direction and established procedures.
- Strong customer service, attention to detail, and ability to keep calm in a fast-paced environment.
- This position requires being physically active and the ability to lift at least 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
