Under the general direction and supervision of the Program Director, the Program Supervisor is responsible for ensuring a safe, clean and enjoyable party environment for YMCA members and rental participants; ensuring the safety of all individuals in the party area during the rental, providing age and ability appropriate games and activities and enforcing all party rules; providing excellent customer service through room set up and clean up, planning for age appropriate activities, and assisting the renter in any way needed.
1. Ensure safety and prevent injuries by supervising rental participants.
2. Ability communicate information clearly, and answer member inquiries, and concerns.
3. Maintain schedules for all parties, rooms, and staff.
4. Work alongside supervisor to develop program staff, including recruiting and training.
5. Monitor all rental participants and enforces safety regulations, and apply appropriate management techniques
6. Serve as a liaison between rental participants and other Directors to maintain open communication.
7. Assist with room and decorations preparation and clean up afterwards.
8. Accurately complete attendance records, incident reports, program evaluations, etc.
9. Monitor rental participants to assure responsible and proper use of equipment. Monitor rental participants for any signs of distress and respond immediately.
10. Maintain knowledge of Association policies and procedures, risk management, safety practices and applicable laws.
11. Lead by example at all times. Interact with a high level of professionalism and accountability.
12. Attend staff meetings and trainings as required.
OTHER DUTIES:
1. Participate in workshops, trainings and seminars that will enhance professional growth.
2. Participate and become an active storyteller during Annual Campaign.
3. Demonstrate and model the YMCA’s four core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility.
4. Exhibit personal and professional behavior in a manner consistent with the best interest of the Association, so as not to bring discredit to the Association.
5. Perform such other job-related duties as may be periodically assigned by the Supervisor.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and outlook.
- Prior experience working with children.
- Experience working with admin responsibilities such as appointment making, detailed notes, relaying proper information and carrying out planned events/activities.
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication (written and verbal) skills.
- Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.
7. Ability to demonstrate problem-solving and independent judgment and making decisions within the guidelines of the YMCA.
- Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification or willing to obtain
- Must have flexible work schedule.
- Transportation and valid NJ driver’s license is required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Sufficient strength, agility and mobility to perform essential functions and to supervise program activities in a wide variety of indoor and outdoor locations.
