Accounting Manager
Description

The Accounting Manager is an integral part of Yuasa business and is responsible for managing the full cycle of accounting process, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of financial statements, maintaining compliance with financial regulations, coordinating audits, implementing accounting policies, maintaining proper records and reconciliations, supporting the development of annual budget and forecasts, and mentoring the accounting staff. 


This position is on-site; Monday-Friday.

Requirements
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and standard costing. Ensure that work meets highest standard of accuracy, completeness, and delivery within established deadlines.
  • Responsible for monthly and annual close processes, preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, and balance sheet accounts reconciliation. Ensure compliance with the U.S. GAAP and professional standards.
  • Responsible for Fixed Asset Ledger and capital spending processes, including ROI calculation, spending tracking, and post-capitalization audit and analysis.
  • Establish and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Coordinate the annual financial audit and serve as liaison between the Company and the auditing firm.
  • Monitor and analyze spending and financial trends, providing recommendations for improvements.
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial information and protect the company assets.
  • Assist in developing the annual budget, forecasts, and long-term planning. Oversee the annual standard cost development process.
  • Develop and inspire accounting team through coaching, meaningful feedback, and personalized growth plans. 
  • Other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • Understanding of US GAAP and applicable laws and regulations
  • Advanced analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Understands financial data analysis and reporting.
  • Knowledge of working capital, fixed assets, and standard costing functions.
  • Ability to work with tight deadlines.
  • Strong organization and priority setting skills a must.
  • Proven experience in financial project management.

  Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in accounting/finance
  • 2-3 years’ experience managing an accounting department
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Organized and detail oriented.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and advance Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of Business Central and Sage software preferred.
  • Able to work in a changing environment; must be able to promote suggestions to assist in the creation of an efficient workflow.

  • Written and oral communication proficiency.
  • Must follow the environmental program and all safety rules.
