Heartline Staffing is recruiting an Engineering Manager – Linear Motion Systems for an onsite opportunity in Bethel, Connecticut. This position leads the engineering function supporting the design, development, customization, and continuous improvement of linear motion products and engineered assemblies.

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Engineering Manager oversees engineering documentation, product design, project execution, technical support, and cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Operations, Manufacturing, customers, and other stakeholders. The position supports the successful delivery of high-quality engineered solutions that meet customer and market requirements.

The role combines hands-on engineering expertise with project leadership and requires strong experience in manufacturing, mechanical product development, CAD/CAM systems, engineering documentation, and ERP/MRP environments.

COMPENSATION
• Pay Range: $100,000-$145,000 Per Year

ENGINEERING LEADERSHIP
• Lead And Manage Engineering Projects From Concept Through Production
• Oversee Design, Development, Modification And Improvement Of Linear Motion Products, Assemblies And Systems
• Establish Engineering Priorities And Allocate Resources To Support Business Objectives
• Develop And Maintain Engineering Standards, Processes And Best Practices

PRODUCT DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT
• Design And Validate New Products, Custom Solutions And Engineered Assemblies
• Evaluate Customer Requirements And Develop Technical Solutions To Meet Application Specifications
• Perform Product Performance Analysis, Troubleshooting And Testing
• Lead Continuous Improvement Activities
• Support Manufacturing And Operations In Resolving Design And Production Issues

ENGINEERING DOCUMENTATION & QUALITY CONTROL
• Maintain Engineering Drawings, CAD Models, Specifications, Bills Of Materials And Related Technical Documentation
• Ensure Engineering Documentation Is Accurate, Current And Compliant With Quality Procedures
• Manage Engineering Change Requests And Engineering Change Orders
• Apply Knowledge Of Machining, Assembly And Quality Control To Support Manufacturing Operations

CUSTOMER & SALES SUPPORT
• Provide Technical Support To Customers, Distributors And Internal Sales Teams
• Participate In Customer Meetings, Application Reviews And Technical Presentations As Required
• Assist Sales With Product Selection, Quotations, Special Applications And Technical Proposals
• Respond To Technical Inquiries And Support Resolution Of Customer Issues

CONTRACT REVIEW & PROJECT MANAGEMENT
• Review Customer Specifications, Contracts And Technical Requirements For Special Products And Custom-Engineered Assemblies
• Ensure Product Designs Meet Customer Expectations, Regulatory Requirements And Manufacturing Capabilities
• Coordinate Project Timelines And Deliverables Across Departments
• Manage Multiple Engineering Projects And Priorities In A Fast-Paced Environment

PROCESS & PRODUCT IMPROVEMENT
• Identify Design, Manufacturing And Process Improvement Opportunities
• Support Initiatives To Increase Efficiency And Reduce Costs
• Drive Improvements In Quality, Reliability And Productivity
• Participate In Strategic Planning For New Technologies And Product Development Opportunities

WORK ENVIRONMENT & TRAVEL
• Work In Both Office And Manufacturing Environments
• Occasional Travel To Customer Sites, Suppliers And Industry Events As Required

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree In Mechanical Engineering Or A Related Engineering Discipline REQUIRED
• 5-10 Years Of Engineering Experience In Manufacturing REQUIRED
• Proficiency With SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Mastercam Or Equivalent CAD/CAM Software REQUIRED
• Experience With ERP/MRP Systems REQUIRED
• Strong Communication Skills Across Internal Teams And With Clients REQUIRED
• Ability To Interpret Engineering Drawings, Specifications And Technical Standards REQUIRED
• Understanding Of Manufacturing Processes Including Machining, Assembly And Quality Control REQUIRED
• Strong Organizational And Project Management Abilities REQUIRED
• Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Capabilities REQUIRED
• Ability To Manage Multiple Projects And Priorities REQUIRED
• Ability To Work Effectively With Customers, Suppliers And Cross-Functional Teams REQUIRED

PREFERRED
• Minimum 3 Years Of Engineering Leadership Or Supervisory Experience
• Automation, Motion Control Or Linear Motion Systems Experience
• Strong Knowledge Of Linear Motion Products, Mechanical Systems, Bearings, Actuators, Guides And Motion Control Applications
• Experience With Custom Machinery, Engineered Assemblies And Product Development
• Experience With M2M Or Similar ERP/MRP Platforms
• Advanced Degree Or Professional Certifications
• Mechanical Engineering Degree With Electrical Experience
