Heartline Staffing is recruiting a Press Tech Production Supervisor - 1st Shift for an onsite manufacturing opportunity in Ripon, Wisconsin. This leadership role is responsible for supporting the efficiency, productivity and continuous improvement of stamping operations while developing team members and driving process optimization.

The position combines stamping production leadership, tool and die knowledge, SMED implementation, preventative maintenance, lean manufacturing, employee development, cross-functional collaboration and project management.

• $71,000-$80,000

SCHEDULE
• Primary Schedule: 1st Shift
• Monday-Thursday, 5:00 AM-3:00 PM
• Must be able to flex hours as needed
• Occasional Friday overtime required
• Must be available to support multiple shifts and days of the week, including weekends, as needed

STAMPING & TECHNICAL OVERSIGHT
• Optimize stamping production processes to align with operational standards and customer requirements
• Apply tool and die knowledge to troubleshoot issues and implement effective solutions
• Collaborate with engineering and design teams to enhance existing dies
• Monitor and analyze production metrics to drive data-informed decisions and continuous improvement

LEADERSHIP & STAFF DEVELOPMENT
• Lead and develop a high-performing manufacturing team
• Empower, guide, coach and mentor team members
• Conduct team meetings and one-on-one sessions
• Provide feedback, establish goals and support professional growth
• Serve as the first point of contact for employee-relations issues
• Interface with Union Stewards regarding contract and discipline issues

SMED & PROCESS OPTIMIZATION
• Lead process-improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste
• Apply lean manufacturing principles with a specific focus on SMED
• Lead efforts to reduce die-changeover times
• Streamline and standardize die-changeover processes
• Train and support shop-floor personnel in SMED best practices
• Evaluate results using metrics and feedback to continuously improve changeover efficiency
• Work to reduce inventory and work in progress

PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE
• Develop, implement and oversee preventative maintenance for stamping equipment and tooling
• Ensure maintenance activities are documented and tracked
• Support efforts to prevent unplanned downtime and extend equipment life
• Collaborate with maintenance teams on training and adherence to maintenance schedules

OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE & COLLABORATION
• Promote compliance with safety standards and a safe working environment
• Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Safety, Tool Room and Maintenance
• Facilitate problem-solving and team decision-making
• Interface with technical staff to ensure appropriate support
• Establish annual goals and objectives supporting operating metrics

PROJECT MANAGEMENT
• Lead projects from conception through implementation
• Develop project plans and allocate resources
• Coordinate tasks across teams
• Support achievement of project timelines, budgets and quality standards

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Ability to stoop and bend
• Ability to stand for long periods
• Manual dexterity required
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field OR equivalent relevant experience REQUIRED
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a stamping or manufacturing environment with leadership and process optimization responsibilities REQUIRED
• Strong knowledge of tool and die principles and practices REQUIRED
• Demonstrated experience implementing SMED and manufacturing process optimization initiatives REQUIRED
• Proven leadership experience developing and leading high-performance teams REQUIRED
• Proven leadership capability including coaching, mentoring and supervision within a team environment REQUIRED
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical and decision-making skills REQUIRED
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects effectively REQUIRED
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills REQUIRED
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel REQUIRED
• Availability and flexibility to support multiple shifts and days of the week, including weekends, as needed REQUIRED
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, including standing for extended periods, stooping, bending, manual dexterity and lifting up to 50 lbs. without assistance REQUIRED

PREFERRED
• 1-3 years of experience in a medium/high-volume, fast-paced manufacturing environment
