Heartline Staffing is recruiting an experienced Electrical / RCDD Engineer for a full-time engineering opportunity in Raleigh, North Carolina. This position requires both a current Professional Engineer license and RCDD credential and combines advanced electrical power distribution design with Information Communications Technology (ICT) expertise.

This engineer will lead the research, development and production of electrical and low-voltage construction drawings while serving as a subject matter expert on complex healthcare initiatives. The position includes full-cycle design, technical electrical analysis, ICT systems, multidisciplinary coordination and mentorship of junior engineering professionals.

COMPENSATION
• $110,000-$160,000

ELECTRICAL & HEALTHCARE SYSTEM DESIGN
• Lead the design process from initial concept through completion
• Develop specialized hospital electrical systems
• Design and support emergency generator systems
• Design and support Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems
• Design and support automatic transfer switch (ATS) systems
• Develop comprehensive electrical and low-voltage construction drawings

TECHNICAL ANALYSIS
• Perform arc-flash computations
• Perform short-circuit calculations
• Perform breaker coordination
• Perform medium-voltage distribution design

ICT & LOW-VOLTAGE SYSTEMS
• Design and review Information Communications Technology (ICT) system specifications
• Develop material requirements
• Develop installation techniques
• Establish performance criteria in accordance with ANSI/TIA standards

CODE & STANDARDS COMPLIANCE
• Maintain compliance with NFPA 70 (NEC)
• Maintain compliance with NFPA 72 (Fire Alarm)
• Apply applicable local building requirements

PROJECT LEADERSHIP & COLLABORATION
• Lead electrical and ICT design from concept through completion
• Support project delivery on time and within budget
• Collaborate with architects and other engineering disciplines
• Integrate power, lighting and low-voltage systems into the overall building design
• Provide clear technical guidance to junior engineers and designers
• Provide constructive feedback supporting continued professional development

TRAVEL
• Travel up to 20% based on project needs

Requirements

• Current Professional Engineer (PE) License REQUIRED
• Current RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer) credential REQUIRED
• NCEES Registration REQUIRED
• Minimum 6 years of experience in the A/E industry REQUIRED
• At least 2 years as a licensed professional REQUIRED
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university REQUIRED
• Proficiency in Revit REQUIRED
• Proficiency in AutoCAD REQUIRED
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite REQUIRED
• U.S. Citizenship due to Federal Contractor status REQUIRED
• Ability to travel up to 20% based on project needs REQUIRED
• Ability to meet the Raleigh, NC in-office work requirement REQUIRED

PREFERRED
• Proven experience in healthcare-specific projects
• LEED credential
• CEM (Certified Energy Manager) credential
• LC (Lighting Certified) credential
