Position: Behavioral Healthcare Vice President

Type: Salaried, Full-Time, Exempt (on-call, evening, and weekend coverage required)

Compensation: Up to $240,000 per year (incl. base salary and performance bonuses)
Location: Oversees multiple residential and outpatient behavioral healthcare facilities in Orange County and Long Beach

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take extreme ownership of all programs in the Orange County and Los Angeles region — clinical quality, operations, medical care, staffing, and financial performance.
  • Coach, motivate, and hold Program Managers (and Clinical Director / Nursing Director) fully accountable; step in and run any program end-to-end if leadership is absent or underperforming.
  • Serve as the senior clinical and operational authority: set treatment vision and curriculum; ensure quality of care, documentation, training, supervision, and program structure (residential and outpatient).
  • Act as final decision-maker on emergency client care, high-risk admissions, and interdepartmental clinical operations.
  • Monitor key metrics (census, length of stay, sessions, attendance, discharges) and drive performance improvement.
  • Lead hiring, termination, and disciplinary decisions for program leadership alongside the CEO/EVP.
  • Maintain licensing, accreditation, and compliance; participate in CQI and work with governing bodies as needed.
  • Build and maintain referral, hospital, payer, and industry relationships (directly and through Outreach).

Qualifications:

  • License/Credentials: CADC-II+, LMFT, LPCC, LCSW, or functional equivalent (required)
  • Education: Master’s degree preferred (Healthcare Administration, Leadership, or related)
  • Experience: 8+ years behavioral healthcare experience (required); 5+ years management experience (preferred)
  • Ability to run residential and outpatient behavioral health programs end-to-end (clinical, operations, and medical)
