SCHEDULE:
Mondays – Friday – 8:45 am – 5:15 pm
Saturdays (as scheduled) 8:15 am – 12:15 pm (Roseland Branch)
Sundays (as scheduled) 8:15am-12:15 pm (West Orange Branch)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee two local branch locations, operating a combined @$56M - Each branch has an Assistant Branch Manager, Head Teller, and Teller.
Provide friendly and efficient customer service in person and/or over the telephone.
Perform customer account related tasks, including, but not limited to, consumer and business account products and services, certificate renewals, card related activity, wire transfers, retirement accounts, estate and trust account assistance.
Provide customers with signature guarantees in accordance with the Medallion Program.
Actively educate and promote awareness of Bank products and services to potential and existing customers in an effort to establish and/or expand the customers’ relationship with the Bank.
Call upon existing customers to retain and expand existing business relationships and determine if any other banking services are beneficial for the customer.
Generate and follow-up on referrals from business contacts and customers to identify new business opportunities.
Monitor customer retention and growth efforts and trends.
Delegate tasks to branch staff in order to run the office efficiently.
Manage branch functions and procedures related to opening and closing, office equipment and compliance requirements.
Work with Assistant Branch Manager and Head Teller to ensure proper staff training and development.
Motivate and instruct staff in their responsibilities, limits of authority and channels of communication.
Hold licenses/certifications necessary to sell bank products and services.
Plan, train, control and supervise the overall operations of the branch in conjunction with the Assistant Branch Manager.
Investigate and take corrective actions necessary to resolve problems and complaints with customers and employees.
Supervise the reporting of daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly information to the main office for reconciling, balancing and updating various records and files.
Ensure proper maintenance of building and grounds. Provides supplementary maintenance as needed, including but not limited to keeping the grounds free of trash, keeping sidewalks clear during inclement weather, and assuring proper lighting.
Ensure that the employees are well informed on Bank policies, objectives and procedures.
May be required to attend and/or participate in public relations/company programs.
Manage department staff in areas including, but not limited to, performance appraisals, salary recommendations, development and discipline.
Proficiently read, write and speak the English language.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management necessary to maintain an efficiently run office, including cross-training in other Department or Bank functions.
Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates.
May travel to Bank or other locations for job related functions.
At least two years’ experience in an assistant branch management level role of a US bank required.
Maintain a valid Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) identification number; may be obtained post-hire.
Familiarity with Fiserv-Cleartouch software preferred
