Position Summary:
We are searching for a Subcontractor Site Representative that will be responsible for the management of construction, maintenance, or site services subcontracts from conception to closeout for our client's location in Niskayuna, NY.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implement construction, maintenance, or site services subcontract management in accordance with established Construction Management policies and procedures.
- Oversee and monitor performance, compliance, quality, and safety in accordance with OSHA and site-specific requirements.
- Ensure subcontractor adherence to the subcontract, assists in preventing subcontractor failure, reduce project related misdirection, prevents multiple lines of communication, provides appropriate guidance to preclude subcontractor rework and reduces compliance risk.
- As a primary point of contact for the contractor's project manager, the STR will develop a working relationship with the project manager and their team to support successful execution of the contract.
- Subcontractor Work Administrator
- Review and approve Material Disposition List (waste) for upcoming projects
- Provide oversight for environmental, safety, and health protocols
- Provide input to Project Execution Plans
- Respond to unplanned events or unforeseen conditions
- Document Subcontractor's performance
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and 0-5 years of experience
- Working knowledge of OSHA and related documents
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work with a multi-faceted team
- Ability to read and comprehend technical documents and drawings
- Ability to articulate technical ideas/concepts in a clear and concise manner
- Field construction experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- The ability to be self-directed with minimal supervision while overseeing contractor activities
- Expert knowledge of subcontract policies and procedures and the manner in which these policies and procedures are flowed down by an Owner or Contractor to Subcontractors and Subcontractor sub-tiers
- Review of multi-disciplined procedures and contractor submitted plans
Security Clearance:
Candidates must possess a DOE L Security Clearance.
Background Check and Screenings
