Founded in 2016, Longroad Energy is a U.S.-based energy company focused on developing, owning and operating energy and digital infrastructure projects throughout North America. Longroad has developed or acquired 7.6 GW of renewable energy projects and has raised $20.6 billion of equity, debt, and tax equity to support completion of its portfolio. Today, Longroad owns 5.8 GW of wind, solar, and storage projects and operates and manages a total of 7.4 GW on behalf of Longroad and third parties. Program Description

Longroad Energy’s internship program provides opportunities for undergraduate students to explore careers in renewable energy. In 2027, Longroad will offer paid internship positions that create challenging hands-on learning experiences for college juniors, entering their senior year in the Fall. Selected interns will participate in a 10–12-week summer program that includes onboarding, structured work experience, mentoring, and exposure both to department-specific and company-wide personnel and activities.

Job Summary  

Work with the IFRS Accounting Manager and Technical Accounting Manager and engage in projects that will provide a broader perspective on both contract analyses and record-to-report as well as accounting complexities within the renewable energy industry. Must be able to work 3x a week in our Boston office.

 Responsibilities

 IFRS Accounting and Reporting

• Participate in the IFRS record-to-report process for one quarterly close (July timeframe)
• Assist with ad hoc requests for information from investors

Technical Accounting

• Implement an interactive AI tool to be used upstream to improve company-wide understanding of downstream accounting implications of contract initiation and negotiation given industry complexities. 
• Support technical accounting analyses as needed 

Qualifications

• Undergraduate student at a 4-year college
• Preferred major of accounting preferred, Finance and other related major
• GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Interest in the renewable energy industry Curiosity
• Self-starter
• Strong written and organizational skills
• Microsoft Excel proficiency
• Cover letter highly preferred

Compensation

This role pays $25hr.
