Position Overview:
Odyssey Relocation Management is seeking an accomplished, customer-focused Global Relocation Consultant (GRC) to support our expanding corporate client base. The ideal candidate will bring broad experience in global relocation management services. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an entrepreneurial-minded professional to apply their knowledge, file management skills, and relocation expertise in a collaborative work environment while contributing to Odyssey’s continued growth.
The Global Relocation Consultant serves as the primary point of coordination and owner of the relocation process for employees relocating internationally, including permanent moves. The GRC is responsible for delivering a high level of customer service while overseeing the full spectrum of assignment management services. These services may include: policy counseling, household goods shipping, intercultural services, expatriate compensation support, foreign language training, expense management, visa/immigration services, ongoing assignment support, and repatriation.
The GRC must have a thorough understanding of assignment management, with expertise across all aspects of clients’ international policies and programs, while ensuring alignment with Odyssey’s Core Values. This role may also involve supporting U.S. domestic relocations and occasionally require flexibility to work non-traditional hours to accommodate relocating employees in different time zones. Candidates must be located within the Central or Eastern Time Zones to support the needs of our clients and relocating employees.
Primary Position Functions:
- Deliver World Class Customer Service on a consistent basis to his or her relocation employee.
- Manage the entire international assignment or permanent relocation for each relocating employee according to the scope of the designated clients’ international policies.
- Serve as the single-point-of-coordination for all supply chain partners and the advocate for the relocating employee.
- Coordinate with all internal support functions to ensure a successful relocation experience.
- Select and manage Odyssey’s preferred global partners for each relocating employee with clear and concise communication to ensure quality service delivery.
- Communicate/interface with client HR contacts and/or the Director/Manager of Relocation Services on relocation issues impacting the employee and family.
- Provide the relocating employee status updates, keeping the client abreast of issues and offering solutions as issues arise, and completing client projects and reports as requested.
- Interpret relocating employee needs while balancing client policy; proactively maintain communications throughout the assignment life cycle.
- Counsel relocating employees on applicable, general compensation and tax benefits (i.e. COLA, housing allowance, hypothetical tax, and tax policy). Demonstrate knowledge/expertise in ongoing administration of expatriate compensation elements; maintain compensation update requirements as scheduled.
- Proactively seek opportunities to resolve unique customer concerns and needs; identify opportunities for enhancement to current client processes.
- Follow company policies on data access, handling, and storage while ensuring compliance with other relevant data privacy regulations.
- Participate in client/prospect visits and presentations as needed.
- Complete other tasks/responsibilities required to provide effective support for Direct/Manager, Client, and Relocation Employees.
Additional Job Components – direct coordination with supplier or service managed internally for transferees and as applicable, including:
- Temporary Housing Coordination.
- Car Shipment Coordination.
- Home Finding Coordination.
- Travel Authorization.
- Expense Management.
- Adherence to clients’ policies and tax guidelines.
- Daily utilization of Odyssey operations system for all notes and file management.
Compensation:
The annual base salary for this position in the U.S. ranges from $56,160 to $80,000, depending on job-related skills, experience, and work location. This role may also be eligible for bonuses, commissions, benefits, and other incentives. While this salary range reflects the minimum and maximum for new hires across all U.S. locations, the final offer will be determined by multiple factors.

The Ideal Candidate Should Have:
- University Degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
- 3 years of direct relocation experience or 5 years of related customer service experience.
- Computer skills – Microsoft Office 365 and web hosted job-related systems, proficiency in documenting work and file activity in Odyssey’s operating system is critical.
- Desire to work in an empowered, fast-paced environment.
- Previous international or intercultural experience.
- Fluency in both Portuguese and English is required.
