Job Purpose

The Annual Giving Advisor, grows and stewards the Food Bank of Northern Nevada's annual and monthly giving programs in collaboration with Development and Marketing teams and an outside agency/vendor. This role is the primary coordinator for the direct marketing fundraising program, the EPIC Squad monthly giving program, donor communications, campaign reporting, and agency/vendor partnerships that support annual fund revenue. Working collaboratively with Development, Marketing & Communications, and external partners, the coordinator ensures annual giving programs are executed effectively, and fundraising performance is tracked and optimized. This position reports to the Senior Director of Development.

Required Education and Experience

  • Associates degree. 
  • One to three years of experience in fundraising, marketing, communications, project management, donor relations, or nonprofit administration. 
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects with multiple stakeholders and deadlines, and working with databases, CRM, or reporting tools. 


Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience in annual giving, direct mail fundraising, donor stewardship, or nonprofit marketing.
  • Familiarity with fundraising performance metrics and donor lifecycle management. 
  • Experience coordinating external agencies, vendors, or consultants, and analyzing campaign performance. 
  • Familiarity with the Northern Nevada philanthropic community. 


Essential Duties (including but not limited to)

  • In collaboration with FBNN Marketing and partner agencies/vendors, coordinate and implement annual giving strategies across direct mail, digital, and integrated fundraising channels, including campaign messaging, segmentation, and revenue projections. 
  • Serve as primary coordinator for the monthly giving program (EPIC Squad), driving growth, retention, and stewardship of monthly donors. 
  • Serve as the primary liaison for direct marketing vendors and fundraising agencies, managing campaign timelines, deliverables, and performance. 
  • Coordinate donor acknowledgment, stewardship, and recognition activities, and support donor events and appreciation campaigns. 
  • Cultivate and steward monthly and annual donors individually via phone calls and emails 
  • Provide insight to the frontline fundraisers regarding follow-up with potential major donors for the purpose of building a robust pipeline using the methods of moves management fundraising. 
  • Track fundraising and recurring-giving performance, and partner with Donor Services on data, segmentation, and reporting. Maintain campaign tracking systems, dashboards, and documentation; support revenue forecasting and campaign ROI analysis.
  • Collaborate with Marketing & Communications and program staff to identify compelling stories and integrate annual fund efforts with broader fundraising and communications activities. 
  • Maintain accurate donor and campaign records in the CRM system, supporting data integrity and donor confidentiality. 
  • Support other Development team projects and initiatives as assigned. 


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Strong project management and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple deadlines, campaigns, and priorities simultaneously. 
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret fundraising data and reports. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Experience coordinating external vendors, consultants, or agencies, and collaborating across departments.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Proficiency with fundraising software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office applications. 
  • Commitment to ethical, donor-centered fundraising practices.

Travel

Occasional travel throughout Northen Nevada area, as needed. 


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, exempt position. Days and hours of work are typically 8 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday; the employee will be expected to work some evenings and weekends as necessary for events and donor engagement activities. Occasional local travel is required.
