Job Summary


We have an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Co-op in our Boston office. They will need to be organized and exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong communication, interpersonal and financial skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among competing priorities. 

Requirements

  

Key Responsibilities

  • Working with Client Accounting teams on day-to-day accounting responsibilities. This may include booking of journal entries for: amortization, due diligence invoices, corporate taxes, and overhead expenses.
  • Assist in review of the 3rd party property managers: revenue, Capex testing etc.
  • Assist in the completion of Cabot quarterly financial statements. 
  • Collaborate with the internal team to successfully execute the Cabot fund’s year-end financial audit with external auditors.
  • Assisting in completing and reviewing bank reconciliations and application of cash management needs. 
  • Working with the team to complete monthly accounting close procedures.
  • Assisting Client Accounting groups as directed. 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Focused degree in Accounting and highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite required. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with all members of the organization. 
  • Self-motivated, high attention to detail, ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. 
  • High level of professionalism and demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality as required and appropriate. 

Work Environment & Travel

  • Internship conducted primarily in a professional office environment.
  • Frequent use of computers and digital communication platforms.
  • Limited travel may be required for property site visits or team meetings.

Salary Description
$27 - $29 / hour
