Service Technician
Description

Autowash is looking for service technicians that are motivated, able to work independently, and have excellent customer relation skills. Experienced maintenance technicians can join the team running, but no experience is REQUIRED. Some of our most successful technicians joined the team as trainees with no prior experience in the car wash world. Successful applicants include mechanics, lube technicians, machine operators, service technicians, and other trades.


Responsibilities:


  • Performs required service duties requiring technical labor skills to support various carwash equipment.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot electronic and mechanical problems to complete repairs and get equipment up and running as quickly as possible.
  • Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
  • Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists and hand and power tools.
  • Completes preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications.
  • Maintain tools, test equipment and other company materials in a professional manner
  • Provides training and technical assistance to customers and clients
  • Works as a team participant along with other service technicians and support staff to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Travels daily within assigned territory
  • Operate vehicle in a safe and courteous manner, while obeying local laws and regulations
  • Performs other related duties as required while maintaining progress towards individual goals

Physical Demands:

  • This position involves sitting, standing, walking and normal physical mobility, including reaching, crawling, crouching, kneeling, stooping, grabbing lifting, pushing, or pulling, using ladders, and carrying typical equipment up to approximately 100 lbs. in weight.
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions as well as non-climate controlled environments.
  • Must be willing to work on a rotating on-call/afterhours and weekends schedule
  • Must have finger & hand dexterity for frequent & continuous operation of all tools/equipment.
  • Clarity of vision both near, far, and peripheral
  • Ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech
  • Normal or corrected hearing to the level of ability to accurately decipher normal & abnormal operating equipment sounds

Work Environment:

  • Protective clothing or equipment may be required, including: gloves. Helmets. Steel-toed boots, and protective eyewear
  • Proper attire must be worn. This includes full-length dark pants, uniformed insignia
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually high.
