Position Summary

We are looking for a hands-on POS Support / Field Technology Technician to support technology systems across our car wash locations.

This is a hybrid technical role combining remote POS support for operating sites with hands-on field troubleshooting and repair. The technician will work directly with site teams to resolve day-to-day POS issues and travel to locations when problems require on-site intervention.

The primary focus will be DRB and Micrologic POS systems, car wash controllers, networking, payment equipment, and related site technology.


Key Responsibilities

· Provide remote and direct POS support to car wash locations

· Troubleshoot and support DRB and Micrologic POS systems

· Work directly with site managers and employees to diagnose operational and technical issues

· Resolve POS, payment, networking, controller, and peripheral issues remotely when possible

· Travel to sites for hands-on troubleshooting, repairs, installations, and escalated issues

· Diagnose and troubleshoot car wash controllers and control-system communications

· Support POS terminals, pay stations, kiosks, lane equipment, and back-office systems

· Troubleshoot network connectivity, switches, routers, cellular backup connections, and cabling

· Support credit card readers and payment-processing hardware

· Troubleshoot RFID, barcode scanners, LPR equipment, and other vehicle identification systems

· Diagnose communication problems between the POS, controller, gates, and wash equipment

· Replace and configure PCs, controllers, relay/interface boards, switches, and peripheral devices

· Work with DRB, Micrologic, and other technology vendors on escalated technical issues

· Assist with new-site installations, upgrades, conversions, and technology refreshes

· Document troubleshooting steps, repairs, equipment changes, and site configurations

· Provide clear updates to site management, operations, IT leadership, and vendors during outages

· Respond to critical site issues where POS or technology problems are impacting operations


Qualifications

· Experience supporting POS systems, field technology, networking, electronics, or industrial controls

· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

· Ability to provide technical support to users remotely and in person

· Comfortable working with Windows-based computers and POS hardware

· Basic understanding of IP addressing, switches, routers, LAN/WAN, and Ethernet cabling

· Ability to troubleshoot low-voltage wiring, relays, digital inputs/outputs, and controller communications

· Comfortable using a multimeter and basic field troubleshooting tools

· Ability to work independently and determine when an issue requires on-site intervention

· Strong communication and customer-service skills

· Valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly


Preferred Experience

Experience with any of the following is highly preferred:

· DRB SiteWatch

· Micrologic POS and wash controllers

· Car wash tunnel controllers and relay/interface equipment

· Pay stations and credit card terminals

· RFID and license plate recognition systems

· Ethernet and serial communications

· Cellular routers and backup internet systems

· Cameras and NVR systems

· IT ticketing and remote-support systems

· Car wash equipment or industrial automation environments


What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is comfortable working both behind a computer and inside a car wash equipment room.

One day may involve remotely helping several sites troubleshoot POS or payment issues. Another may require traveling to a location to troubleshoot a controller, network connection, wiring problem, or failed piece of equipment.

We are looking for someone who can communicate well with site teams, troubleshoot methodically, and take ownership of an issue through resolution.

Salary Description
$65,000-$75,000
