Summary
The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for manually preparing, recording and verifying incoming and outgoing shipments, meeting productivity requirements, safely operating equipment while upholding quality and confidentiality requirements.+
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Understand customer orders and/or documentation to determine products to be picked from inventory for shipments
- Demonstrate ability to correctly identify products by color, size, type and/or item number
- Accurately pick products from inventory to assemble customer orders for shipment
- Physically stage, load and unload products/shipments on and off commercial motor vehicles, as instructed
- Maintain warehouse organization by accurately and safely placing products in designated locations
- Receive incoming products/shipments by visually inspecting it for damage, verifying quantities and documentation received against packing list or applicable processes
- Confirm products to be delivered are properly packaged (e.g., order completeness, labeling, packaging, shrink wrapped, banded, load securement, etc.)
- Operate a software system to correctly create, print then physically attach identifying labels to products/shipments
- Demonstrate effective ability to follow verbal and written work instructions and processes using the English language and seek additional tasks when a task is completed to ensure efficient use of work time
- Maintain cleanliness of warehouse area by keeping aisles clear picking up and disposing of debris
- Obtain Forklift Certification per company requirements and safely operate powered industrial trucks
- Efficiently conduct inventory cycle counts and report product quantities, inventory issues to applicable personnel
- Accurately accomplish work tasks within prescribed timeframes and inform Management when assistance is needed
- Compute, verify, organize, maintain or update numerical and written records using electronic and manual company systems to enter, store and retrieve applicable business information, asking for training when needed
- Demonstrate professional team collaboration interaction with personnel, customers, vendors, visitors and associates
- Follow all company policies and procedures

- Ability to effectively hear, understand, read, comprehend, write in the English language

- Previous experience performing similar job tasks preferred but not required
