Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Material Control Specialist to support production by managing raw materials, preparing job kits, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring materials are available when needed. This is an hourly, hands-on position that requires good computer skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work accurately in a manufacturing environment.  Expected Hours: Full-time Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Responsibilities:  

• Kit materials and components for production jobs according to work orders, bills of material, and production schedules 
• Pull, stage, issue, and return raw materials accurately 
• Perform routine cycle counts and investigate inventory discrepancies 
• Enter and update material transactions in the company’s ERP or inventory system 
• Read and interpret work orders, part numbers, material specifications, and related documentation 
• Verify quantities, lot numbers, material certifications, and traceability information when required 
• Organize and maintain raw material storage areas 
• Label and identify materials properly 
• Communicate material shortages, discrepancies, and other concerns to supervisors and appropriate departments 
• Support receiving, stocking, transfers, and movement of materials throughout the facility 
• Maintain accurate records and documentation 
• Follow all safety, quality, housekeeping, and company procedures 
• Assist with other warehouse and material control duties as needed 

Criteria For Success 

• Must be considered a U.S. Person eligible to work in the United States 
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred 
• Previous experience in material handling, inventory control, kitting, warehousing, or manufacturing preferred 
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn inventory or ERP software 
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy 
• Ability to read and follow written instructions 
• Good organizational and problem-solving skills 
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities 
• Effective communication skills 
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials as required 

Work Environment and Physical Demands: 

• General office and manufacturing environment.   
• Exposure to hazards associated with manufacturing equipment and tools.   
• Ability to read and write in English 
• Requires manual dexterity and ability to manipulate small objects. 
• Repetitive hand movements for tasks like assembly or packaging.
