Operations Specialist I

There is ONE Operations Specialist position open that can be filled in any branch location.


POSITION SUMMARY: Provide a variety of bank operations and support in an efficient and courteous manner.


PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


ACCOUNTABILITY 1: Perform Computer Room Duties

  • Process ACH and Cash Letter Files throughout the day
  • Review and decision overdraft and stop pay items
  • Review and process rejects from previous day’s transactions
  • Review and approve mobile capture deposits
  • Process incoming and outgoing returns
  • Process wire requests through UNET
  • Order currency


ACCOUNTABILITY 2: Rotation 2 – Late Week

  • Process incoming wires
  • Process NOC and incoming returns
  • Approve outgoing wire requests through UNET
  • Review new accounts
  • Review end of day batches for rejects


ACCOUNTABILITY 3: Rotation 3

  • Continue review of new accounts
  • Approve outgoing wire request through UNET
  • Verify stop payment requests
  • Review SecureNow denied report
  • Distribute faxes received
  • Process mobile deposit limit increases
  • Review bounce back emails
  • Process ID Theft Enrollment customers
  • Review and process Abrigo fraud red flags



ACCOUNTABILITY 4: Protect the Bank’s Interests

  • Seek adequate identification and evaluate availability of full recourse prior to performing transactions. Remain informed regarding the bank’s security policies and procedures, including the safeguarding of employee lives and cash.
  • Report suspicious activity and violations of security policy to the supervisor.
  • Exercise confidentiality in all matters.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2-3 years of related customer service experience preferred.

  • Express thoughts and ideas in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences.
  • Project a positive image of the bank to all internal and external customers.

  • Maintain confidentiality of customers account information and follow established policies and procedures in responding to inquiries and requests.
  • Monitor compliance to ensure the processing and handling of information is done in a manner that adheres to FDIC regulations and consumer protection issues.
