Position Summary
Shrewsberry and Associates is seeking a Senior Civil Designer to join our Denver team. The ideal candidate will possess advanced technical proficiency across multiple CAD platforms, a proven track record in establishing robust CAD production standards, and the ability to seamlessly support civil engineering teams. This role delivers comprehensive design solutions for complex projects—ranging from standalone stormwater management systems to major transportation initiatives—guiding deliverables smoothly from initial planning through final construction documentation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Drainage design development of engineering drawings from conceptual to final design.
• Create planning level exhibits, support report exhibits.
• Coordinate efforts as part of a design team to produce complete and accurate design work.
• Production of Plan Sets: Prepare complete construction documents, including plan and profile sheets, cross-sections, and detail drawings for highways, roads, and site development.
• Cross-Discipline Coordination: Work directly with project managers, engineers, and external clients to meet strict delivery deadlines.
• Work in a highly flexible, team-oriented environment and contribute to the growth of the Stormwater group.
• Responsible for project delivery on stormwater and related design projects.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal stormwater management designs standards.
Required Education and/or Experience
• B.S. in Civil Design CAD Technology or equivalent.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Minimum of 15 years of design/drafting experience.
• Experience with: OpenRoads Designer, Civ3D, Microstation, Inroads, Bluebeam Revu.
• Familiarity with cloud data environments like ProjectWise or Autodesk Construction Cloud.
Preferred Education and/or Experience
• Experience working with CDOT
• Experience working with other DOT’s
• Experience working with local municipalities
• Familiarity with GIS

This is a full-time position with a base salary that ranges between $90,000 - $115,000 per year. In addition to salary, you are eligible for equity and a competitive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k, and PTO.
