JOB SUMMARY
The Front Desk Assistant Manager of the Edgewood Center (EC) is responsible to assist with the daily coordination of front desk paperwork and personnel. This position is also responsible for working with the Property Manager and Assistant Property Manager regarding the increasing requests for personal assistance by the residents. Handles basic inventory reviews and supply needs.
MEASURES OF SUCCESS
Consistently maintains a safe, secure, and welcoming environment by ensuring compliance with building procedures, accurately completing required documentation, responding promptly to resident and operational needs, and maintaining adequate inventory and supplies to support daily operations.
CLASSIFICATION: Full-Time, Hourly/Non-Exempt
SHIFT: Monday- Friday 10pm- 6am
COMPENSATION: $20-$25 per hour
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Securing the Building
When on duty, ensure compliance of all residents, guests and contractors with entry and exit procedures for the building. Hourly floor patrol to ensure safety and compliance with building rules and regulations, particularly regarding nonsmoking policies and trespassing, or any safety concern. Check all stairways and doors, and around the perimeter of the building.
2. Safety Systems
When on duty, monitor the fire alarm system for the building. Monitor the elevator system for the building. Monitor the video coverage of hallways, kitchens and public areas, as well as front and back doorways. Direct emergency personnel to proper locations. Work with maintenance staff when needed to handle emergency situations.
3. Front Desk Paperwork and Reports
Responsible for coordinating the reports and paperwork associated with the Front Desk and Security. Reporting to Property Manager and Assistant Property Manager as needed on paperwork as required for compliance reviews and staff reviews.
4. Inventory and Supplies
Twice weekly round up and review of basic inventory and supplies necessary for the running of the building and the benefit of the residents, including cleaning, trash and paper supplies for sanitation.
The Front Desk Assistant Manager must be organized, calm, and able to administer and support all property rules and policies. Maintain a professional and respectful relationship with residents, vendors, contractors and other staff members.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
· Strong organizational and time management skills.
· Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment in emergency and non-emergency situations.
· Effective verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality when interacting with residents, staff, and visitors.
· Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications and email systems.
· Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
Preferred
· Previous experience in a front desk, hospitality, security, concierge, residential community, or property management environment.
· Experience handling emergency response procedures and incident reporting.
· Knowledge of access control systems, security monitoring systems, and building operations.
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Minimum of one (1) year of customer service, administrative support, front desk, or related experience.
Preferred
- Associate degree in Business Administration, Hospitality, Property Management, or a related field.
- Two (2) or more years of experience in residential property management, senior housing, hospitality, security, or front desk operations.
- Prior supervisory or lead experience.
