What You'll Do
You'll start with the fundamentals and continue building your skills as you gain experience. Responsibilities may include:
- Perform routine maintenance, including oil and filter changes, tire rotations, inspections, and other basic services
- Assist experienced technicians with vehicle inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs
- Learn to safely use automotive tools, lifts, shop equipment, and diagnostic systems
- Develop hands-on knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and vehicle systems
- Inspect vehicles and identify maintenance or repair needs within the scope of your training
- Complete assigned work according o Mercedes-Benz and dealership procedures and quality standards
- Accurately document completed work
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Work closely with technicians, service advisors, and parts personnel to keep the service department running efficiently
- Participate in training and continue developing your technical skills
- Safely operate customer and dealership vehicles as required

What We're Looking For
We aren't looking for someone who already knows everything—we're looking for someone who wants to learn.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Interest in building a career in automotive service and repair
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Automotive coursework, technical-school training, or previous hands-on automotive experience is helpful, but not required
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to follow instructions, procedures, and safety requirements
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with others
- Basic computer and math skills
- Willingness to learn new automotive technology, tools, and repair procedures
- Valid driver's license and driving record acceptable under company requirements, as operating customer and dealership vehicles is an essential function of this position
- Ability to meet applicable pre-employment requirements
Physical & Work Requirements
This position works in an active automotive service environment. Employees may be required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, lift and carry tools or automotive components, and work around moving vehicles, shop equipment, noise, and varying temperatures.
