As our installed base of autonomous robots continues to grow across North America, we are seeking a motivated and skilled Robotics Repair Technician to join our Boston operations team.


Primary Function
As a Robotics Repair Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, refurbishing, testing, and supporting autonomous robotic systems deployed throughout the Americas region. This role combines hands-on technical repair work with customer and partner support activities to ensure the highest levels of robot performance, reliability, and customer satisfaction.

This is a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of Physical AI, autonomous robotics, and advanced automation technologies, while developing hands-on experience with industry-leading robotic platforms.


Responsibilities
·      Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and system-level failures on robotic platforms.
·      Refurbish and retrofit returned robots, including preventative maintenance, restoring units to operational condition.
·      Replace and repair components including motors, wiring harnesses, sensors, batteries, wheels, brushes, filters, and structural assemblies.
·      Support the root cause analysis process and troubleshoot hardware, software, charging, communication, and navigation-related issues.
·      Conduct software installations, firmware upgrades, system configuration, and functional testing.
·      Complete post-repair verification testing to ensure robots meet safety, quality, and performance standards prior to shipment.


Requirements

·      Associate or Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, Mechatronics, or relevant practical experience 

·      1-3 years of experience in robotics repair, electromechanical equipment, automated systems, consumer electronics, medical devices, industrial equipment, or similar technical fields. 

·      Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills. 

·      Demonstrated reliability, accountability, curiosity, and a willingness to learn new technologies, products, and processes. 

·      Strong communication skills, including written, verbal, and active listening abilities. 

·      Experience using diagnostic tools, multimeters, and basic electronic test equipment. 

·      Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, wiring diagrams, service manuals, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). 

·      Ability to lift up to 45 lbs. 

·      Willingness to travel occasionally to support customers, service partners, trade shows, training sessions, and special events.


Preferred Qualifications
·      Experience supporting Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs), commercial cleaning robots, or service robots.
·      Understanding of robotic subsystems, including motors, batteries, sensors, cameras, LiDAR, communication systems, and embedded electronics.
·      Familiarity with Unix/Linux-based operating systems.
·      Programming experience with Python, C++, or scripting languages.
·      Experience with battery-powered systems and lithium-ion battery technologies.
·      Spanish language proficiency.
·      Experience training customers, distributors, or technical service personnel.
·      Adaptable and collaborative team player with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
