Description
HVAC Service Technician — Midland, TX
D&D Plumbing, Heat, and Air · Full-time · Hourly
Fall is when some shops in the Basin start cutting techs. We're adding one.
D&D just lost a good tech to a life change, and the calls didn't stop. We need an HVAC Service Technician who can take the keys to a stocked truck this month and run it like it's theirs — because it will be.
What you'll actually be doing
- Running your own truck in Midland–Odessa: diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining residential systems the right way, the first time
- Talking to homeowners like a human — explaining what's wrong, what it costs, and what you'd do if it were your house
- Doing the paperwork in the field software so you're not doing it at 9 PM
- Keeping the truck stocked and clean, and covering your turn in the on-call rotation
Requirements
What we need from you (non-negotiable)
- 2+ years of residential HVAC service - experience independently running a service truck
- Customer service you're proud of — if your reviews follow you, that's a plus
- EPA 608; TDLR registration or license preferred
- Comfortable in attics, crawl spaces, and West Texas heat; able to lift 50+ lbs
- Insurable driving record and valid driver's license
- Pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
- Must be 18 years of age or older to apply
Why D&D instead of the next ad down
- Steady work year-round — we're not slowing down when it cools off
- Truck, fuel card, and uniforms on day one
- Medical, dental, vision; 401(k) with match; paid holidays and PTO
- Manufacturer and technical training that actually happens
- Locally owned and operated
