About the Role

The Production Planning Supervisor is the central point of contact for workflow across Assembly and Warehouse, planning materials and work activities, coordinating what Engineering releases to the shop floor, and keeping schedules, staffing, and priorities aligned as conditions change. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives on organization, problem-solving, and keeping a manufacturing operation running on time.

Requirements

What You'll Do

  • Create and maintain work orders in NetSuite ERP based on released bills of materials (BOMs) from Engineering
  • Own the end-to-end shipping, receiving, and picking process — including inventory accuracy, material staging, kitting, and on-time delivery to the assembly floor
  • Coordinate with Purchasing and Engineering to resolve procurement issues and keep material flowing without delay
  • Monitor project timelines and shop capacity, adjusting sequencing, staffing, and priorities in real time as engineering changes, material delays, or customer requirements shift
  • Lead, motivate, and hold accountable shipping, receiving, and picking personnel — communicating goals, safety practices, and deadlines clearly
  • Use ERP, inventory, and scheduling systems to track work orders and shop schedules, and provide accurate status updates to management
  • Promote a safe, clean, and ethical work environment; reinforce safe work habits and drive continuous improvement across the shop floor
  • Comply with all health, safety, and environmental policies

What We're Looking For

  • Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple work areas at once
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, comfortable reprioritizing quickly as shop conditions and engineering inputs change
  • Hands-on proficiency with ERP, inventory, or scheduling software (NetSuite experience a plus)
  • Prior experience supervising or leading a function or team
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for coordinating across engineering, assembly, and warehouse teams
  • A steady, accountable leadership style with a bias toward action and continuous improvement

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of production planning, materials management, or scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment
  • CPIM, CSCP, or related supply chain/planning certification preferred
  • Prior supervisory or management experience directly overseeing a shop-floor or warehouse team
  • Bachelor's degree in Operations, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or a related field ; or equivalent technical training/experience required

Benefits:

  • 401K
  • Health insurance
  • Dental insurance
  • Vision insurance
  • Flexible spending account
  • Employee assistance program
  • Life Insurance
  • Paid holidays
  • Paid time off
