We are seeking an experienced Regional Quality Manager to provide quality leadership and oversight across multiple industrial construction projects located in Houston, Beaumont, and the surrounding regions. This highly visible, hands-on role requires balancing the management of quality control programs, processes, and personnel while also performing field inspections and audits. This is not a desk-based position; the successful candidate must be comfortable working in the field and actively engaging with project teams to ensure compliance with quality standards.
The successful candidate will bring deep expertise in welding, fabrication, and NDE, along with proven experience managing quality across multiple active projects simultaneously.
Certifications Required
Current AWS CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) must be active/in good standing, no exceptions
Willingness/ability to travel between active project sites regularly
Key Experience
WPS / PQR / WPQ review and compliance (ASME Section IX)
NDE report review (ASME Section V)
Tracking and managing weld NDE percentages and acceptance rates
Hydro & pneumatic testing (ASME B31.1, B31.3, etc.)
Weld mapping, weld logs, shooter sheets
Coordinating NDE crews and managing repair cycles
Managing QC inspectors and defining roles/responsibilities per contract
Bluebeam (markups, redlines)
Reading and redlining isos, P&IDs, and support details
Performing direct field inspections, not just overseeing others who do
Prioritizing and managing quality activities across multiple concurrent projects
Client & Regional Responsibilities
Maintain strong working relationships with clients and third-party inspectors
Serve as the regional quality point of contact across multiple active projects
Oversee quality documentation, turnover packages, and client closeout
Strong field presence with clear communication across supervision, inspectors, and clients
Balance management duties with personal inspection workload as project demands require
Regional role — routine travel required between Houston, Beaumont, and surrounding areas.
