Material Handler - 2nd & 3rd

Description

 The Material Handler is responsible for the efficient handling, movement, and preparation of materials used in the injection molding process, ensuring the production line runs smoothly and efficiently. This role requires a strong focus on organization, attention to detail, and adherence to safety protocols.

Requirements

  

  •  Self-starter 
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Ability to prioritize effectively 
  • Must be organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy 
  • Strong math skill 
  • Must be able to read, write & speak English 
  • Experience with material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack) preferred.
  • Excellent Attendance Mandatory
  • Adhere to safety rules and regulations 
  • Prepare equipment and the press for the run. That includes cleaning grinders, dryers, hoppers, filters, and loaders.
  • Pull materials from inventory per Work Order specification and filling necessary documentation
  • Mix materials and concentrates per Work Order specification  
  • Set auto loaders to attain proper regrind ratio according to work orders
  • Bring raw material, packaging materials to the press when required according to work orders
  • Before starting a new work order properly perform and document line clearances completely
  • Clean area when job is completed and return unused raw and packaging material to warehouse
  • Move finished goods from the press area to the warehouse once approved by Quality
  • When job is completed, fill out necessary documentation
  • Perform color changes per work instructions
  • Maintain proper material levels for hoppers and dryers
  • Ensure material hoppers are filled and properly monitored during production
  • Assist maintenance in troubleshooting material flow issues and ensuring proper material delivery.
  • Perform routine checks on auxiliary equipment to ensure proper functioning.
  • Maintain good housekeeping for assigned work location
  • Other duties assigned



Physical Requirements include: 

  • Good mobility, energy level & ability to frequently lift 50 pounds 
  • Requires good visual acuity 
  • Must be willing and able to operate a forklift - we will train 
  • Able to climb ladders up to 6 feet 
  • Good mobility and prolonged physical activity including but not limited to reaching, standing, stooping, squatting & crawling to access material storage areas
  • Able to work in manufacturing environment
