SUMMARY
Responsible for the verification and packaging of steel tubing from the mill production area onto lifts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Computer knowledge. can navigate through production and shop order screens.
- Reviews shop order and ensure correct information is in Mair computer. Bundle configuration, tube length and packaging requirements.
- Communicates with Mill Utility any wood and what lengths he needs for current and upcoming orders.
- Verifies lift size, current piece count, visual condition, and packaging.
- Inspects material as it is being produced, segregates any defective material, and notifies Mill Operator of nonconforming tubing.
- Communicate with Saw operator for order/length changes for continuous production.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Less than high school education; or at least 10th grade education or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to figure out bundle size and wood length with basic math,
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations as well as trouble shooting saw Mair issues.
