Facilities Technician
Description

  

The Maintenance Technician performs on demand, corrective, and preventative maintenance on machinery, plumbing, building, electrical equipment and patient rooms. This position is in a healthcare facility which would require at times various assignments and other miscellaneous duties in the maintenance field.


Duties and Responsibilities

  

  • Complete assigned rounds on shift as required. Maintain current and accurate      information by updating maintenance schedules and records.
  • Maintains a room check schedule to proactively maintain a safe and comfortable room      with all equipment working properly.
  • Performs on-demand work requests by all staff and visitors of the ASC.
  • Install ceiling tiles, paint drywall, repair toilets, and replace lighting as      needed.
  • Meets deadlines and provides follow up to team members regarding plans,      procedures, or delays.
  • Completes scheduled preventative maintenance in a timely, and professional manor.
  • Uses a computer for tracking work requests, tracking time and materials,      processing needs supplied and maintaining needed inventory.

Schedule

  • Full-Time
  • Monday-Friday
  • 8-hour day shift
  • Overtime opportunities
  • Occasional after-hours response for emergency facility issues

Range

Minimum $28/hr

Maximum $40/hr

Requirements
  • Mechanically inclined with effective problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment


Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  •  Two years relevant experience in a healthcare, commercial or industrial setting.
