Summary
The Purchasing Clerk is responsible for assisting the procurement department in procuring goods and services needed for company operations. This role involves preparing purchase orders, maintaining purchasing records, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring timely delivery of products while adhering to company policies and budget guidelines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and process purchase orders (POs) based on requisitions from various departments
- Research and evaluate PO’s and supplier communications to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery
- Maintain accurate purchasing records, including invoices, purchase agreements, and supplier contracts. Communicate with vendors and internal teams to confirm order details, resolve discrepancies, and track deliveries
- Ensure all purchases comply with company policies.
- Prepare reports on purchasing activities and supplier performance from feedback of other buyers.
- Adhere to and support all safety policies and guidelines
- Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of previous experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain roles
