Sharps Medical Waste Services is seeking an experienced Recruiter to provide additional recruiting support during a period of increased hiring volume. In this role, you will manage full-cycle recruiting for assigned positions and locations, partnering directly with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, source and screen candidates, coordinate interviews, and support the hiring process through offer acceptance. We're looking for someone who can step in quickly, independently manage a high-volume requisition workload, and build strong relationships with candidates and hiring managers.


This is a full-time, six-month fixed-term position employed directly by Sharps Medical Waste Services. The position is benefits eligible while employed and is expected to end at the conclusion of the six-month term. There is currently no expectation of extension or conversion to a permanent position.


Key Responsibilities

  •  Manage the full recruiting lifecycle, including posting positions, sourcing candidates, reviewing applications, conducting screenings, coordinating interviews, preparing and extending offers, and managing pre-employment screening requirements. 
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, position requirements, and hiring priorities. 
  • Source qualified candidates through job boards, direct sourcing, referrals, and other recruiting channels. 
  • Conduct candidate screenings and recommend qualified candidates to hiring managers. 
  • Coordinate interviews and maintain timely communication with candidates and hiring teams. 
  • Prepare and extend employment offers and communicate offer details to selected candidates. 
  • Initiate and track required pre-employment screenings, including background checks and drug screenings, and follow up with candidates through completion. 
  • Develop sourcing strategies for high-volume, specialized, and difficult-to-fill positions. 
  • Manage multiple open requisitions and adjust priorities based on changing business needs. 
  • Maintain accurate and timely candidate and requisition information within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS). 
  • Provide hiring managers with regular updates on recruiting activity, candidate pipelines, offers, and pre-employment status. 
  • Maintain a positive and professional candidate experience throughout the entire hiring process. 
  • Follow established recruiting procedures and applicable employment requirements. 
  • Support additional Talent Acquisition projects and initiatives as needed.
Requirements
  •  3+ years of recruiting or Talent Acquisition experience, preferably in a high-volume or multi-location environment. 
  • Demonstrated full-cycle recruiting experience, including sourcing, screening, interview coordination, and offer management. 
  • Experience managing multiple requisitions and hiring managers simultaneously. 
  • Strong sourcing skills and experience using job boards, recruiting platforms, and an ATS. 
  • Experience recruiting for operations, frontline, skilled, and/or supervisory preferred. 
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills. 
  • Excellent organization and time-management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities. 
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned requisitions. 
  • Ability to quickly learn new positions, business operations, and hiring needs. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and virtual communication tools.
