Frank Beverage Group in Onalaska, WI is now hiring for a 3rd Shift Warehouse Supervisor. The

Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the third shift picking and replenishment operations

and staff for beer and/or liquor products. The position is accountable for ensuring the daily attainment,

preparation and quality is completed and loaded for delivery.


  

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees beer picking operations for assigned shift.
  • Ensures timely completion of product fulfillment and loading while maintaining quality control standards.
  • Plans work assignments to meet fulfillment and replenishment goals. Coaches, trains, develops and motivates warehouse team members to achieve fulfillment goals and team and role expectations.
  • Trains and coaches employees, monitors actions, attendance, performance and behaviors, handles recognition and disciplinary actions.
  • Enforces safety rules and regulations. Acts as a role model in leading and supporting a culture of safety. Escalates safety violations, issues and concerns to management.
  • Schedules team members, reviews and approves time and time off, and documents team schedules.
  • Runs initial computer palletization of products and reviews orders.
  • Dispatch work to warehouse picking team members.
  • Optimize pallet and truck loading through palletization and load design software.
  • Works with Team Leads to release orders and manage work queue through the completion of the shift.
  • Direct team leads and workers in warehouse operations on picking, replenishing, and the moving, or loading of product.
  • Works with team leads to monitor work to ensure that it is being  performed safely, timely and at a consistent level of high-quality  standards.
  • Collaborates with team members to resolve problems.
  • Acts as a resource to employees and assists team members with the use of required technology tools such as email, Paylocity, and Sharepoint. Assists with the escalation or escalates issues to support teams as needed.
  • Communicates with team members, peers and managers frequently. Conducts weekly shift meetings with team members keeping them informed of team and workflow priorities, organization and safety initiatives.
  • Confers with management, peers and team members to exchange information and resolve problems.
  • Recommend and implement measures to improve work methods, procedures, systems and equipment.
  • Reports inventory discrepancies that can largely affect delivery capabilities.
  • Manages and ensures availability of warehouse supplies including  earphone pads and radios. Reports hardware/software issues to IT or Warehouse Technology Manager.
  • Oversees shift turnover responsibilities are completed, including plastic wrap removal, cleaning of work areas/floors, breakage and equipment charging.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements

  

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to coach, train, motivate, influence. Demonstrated ability to develop and lead a team of people.
  • Must obtain sufficient knowledge of company products to answer routine inquiries; Must obtain knowledge of supplier policies especially freshness standards and product markings.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations and warehouse management systems is preferred.
  • Product knowledge is preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite products is preferred.
  • Possess an analytical and mechanical aptitude.
  • Good decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong organization skills
  • Possess good visual acuity at various distances with dimensional depth perception and color distinction.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; self-motivated.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment safely.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, calmly, and comprehend verbal and/or written communications.
  • Ability to communicate with employees, supervisors, managers and customers in a respectful manner.
  • Ability to learn and operate pallet trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts and all the necessary equipment safely.
  • Ability to operate a computer, hand-held computer, voice picking commands and scanner.
  • Ability to resolve conflicts and work well with others.
  • Ability to troubleshoot process or systems errors.
  • Ability to communicate, read and interpret documents written in English such as pick documents, safety rules and procedure manuals

  

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) required.
  • Experience with forklifts and other warehouse equipment is required; ability to obtain company forklift and equipment certifications is required.
  • Leadership, supervisory or management experience is required.

  

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift 40 lbs. repetitively; 175 lbs. occasionally.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to reach, bend, walk, stoop, squat, kneel and crouch.
  • Comfortable working at various heights
