Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the interior architecture scope of one or more projects from design development through construction      completion
  • Lead the development and coordination of interior architectural drawing packages, including floor plans, reflected ceiling      plans, interior elevations, sections, details, finish plans, and schedules
  • Translate design intent into coordinated, constructible technical documentation
  • Coordinate interior architecture drawings with Architecture, Interior Design, Lighting, MEP, Structural, Kitchen, AV/Low      Voltage, Life Safety, and other project consultants
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and milestones for the interior architecture scope
  • Manage project team workload and utilization in accordance with project fees and deliverables
  • Apply a strong understanding of interior construction, building systems, materials, assemblies, and technical detailing
  • Review architectural backgrounds and consultant drawings to identify and resolve coordination conflicts
  • Ensure interior layouts and details comply with applicable building codes, accessibility requirements, and regulatory      standards
  • Coordinate doors, hardware, partitions, ceilings, millwork, plumbing fixtures, equipment, and other elements affecting the      interior architectural package
  • Lead the technical development of custom architectural and interior elements
  • Responsible for the integration of Interior Design intent with architectural, technical, and code requirements
  • Perform quality control reviews of interior architecture documentation prior to milestone submissions
  • Participate in and lead project coordination meetings related to the interior architecture scope
  • Execute the construction administration phase for interior architecture, including review of shop drawings and submittals,      RFIs, field conditions, and contractor questions
  • Review shop drawings and submittals for compliance with the construction documents and design intent
  • Coordinate revisions and documentation resulting from RFIs, ASIs, field conditions, and owner changes
  • Conduct site visits as required to verify field conditions and support construction coordination
  • Establish team goals, delegate drawing and coordination responsibilities, and monitor progress against project milestones
  • Provide mentorship and technical direction to project team members
  • Monitor project documentation to ensure the Firm’s quality standards and design goals are maintained
  • Maintain strong communication with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal design teams throughout the project

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Professional degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, or Interior Design
  • 7+ years of relevant professional experience
  • Strong experience developing and managing interior architectural construction documents
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Proficiency in Bluebeam
  • Working knowledge of Revit
  • Strong understanding of interior construction methods, detailing, materials, and building systems
  • Knowledge of model building codes, accessibility requirements, and applicable regulatory agencies
  • Ability to read and coordinate architectural, structural, MEP, lighting, and consultant drawings
  • Experience with interior elevations, sections, details, reflected ceiling plans, finish plans, schedules, and millwork      documentation
  • Strong technical coordination and problem-solving capabilities
  • Strong leadership, communication, organization, prioritization, and follow-through
  • Ability to manage multiple scopes, deadlines, and team members in a fast-paced project environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively with both Architecture and Interior Design teams
  • Desire to work through all phases of a project, with particular emphasis on technical documentation and construction completion

  • Hospitality, gaming, resort, restaurant, or other complex interior project experience
  • Experience coordinating custom millwork and specialty interior construction
  • Experience working in both Imperial and Metric units
  • Experience with construction administration and field coordination

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, or Interior Design
  • 7+ years of professional experience required
  • Architectural licensure or NCIDQ certification preferred, as applicable to the position
