Love the ocean, watersports, travel, or just helping people find the right gear for their next adventure? Divers Direct is looking for friendly, energetic, and customer-focused Part-Time Sales Associates to join our Fort Lauderdale team.

We're currently looking for part-time team members who can regularly work evening and weekend shifts. This position is not limited exclusively to nights and weekends, and additional weekday shifts may be available based on scheduling and business needs. However, consistent evening and weekend availability is an important requirement for this opening. Holiday availability may also be required during peak retail periods.

We're looking for people who enjoy working with customers, are eager to learn, and want to be part of an active retail environment. We'll help you build the product knowledge you need along the way. What You'll Do

As a Sales Associate, you'll help create a great experience for every customer who walks through our doors. You'll learn about our products, help customers find the gear that's right for them, and support the day-to-day operation of the store.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Welcome customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable service
• Help customers select products based on their needs and interests
• Learn and maintain knowledge of our products, brands, and services
• Generate sales across all product categories
• Complete sales transactions and maintain proper cash accountability
• Stock and replenish merchandise throughout the store
• Assist with product exchanges and transfers
• Price, tag, and organize merchandise
• Help maintain displays and merchandising throughout the sales floor
• Keep the store clean, organized, and ready for customers
• Fill scuba tanks and conduct inspections after completing company-sponsored VIP training
• Follow company policies, procedures, and safety practices
• Assist with other store responsibilities as needed

Qualifications:

• Has at least 6 months of previous customer service experience
• Is friendly, dependable, and comfortable interacting with customers
• Enjoys working as part of a team
• Is willing and excited to learn about our products and the dive/watersports industry
• Can regularly work evenings and weekends
• Can work select holidays and other peak retail periods as needed
• Is comfortable working in an active retail environment

Scuba certification or previous dive industry experience is a plus, but not required.

Physical Requirements

This is an active retail position. Team members must be able to:

• Remain on their feet throughout the majority of their shift
• Bend, squat, and reach as needed
• Regularly lift and carry 40+ pounds
• Safely climb ladders
• Access all areas of the store
• Read, write, count, and perform basic arithmetic
