Description

Gordini USA Inc. manufactures and distributes cold-weather gloves, mittens, goggles, and base layers for both our brand and private label. We are also a licensee for Carhartt gloves, base layers, socks, and boxer briefs. We are a growing company seeking an Accounts Payable Assistant to join our team.


The Accounts Payable Assistant position supports the accounts payable function by maintaining accurate vendor records, processing invoices and payments, assisting with reconciliations, and working with departments and vendors to ensure invoices are handled quickly, accurately, and efficiently. This position works closely with the accounting team and other departments in a multi-company environment.


Job Duties

  • Reviews invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
  • Enters and processes accounts payable invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Assists with processing credit card statements and follows up with credit card users to obtain required receipts and documentation.
  • Reviews outbound shipment billing for accuracy and proper coding.
  • Helps review duty, ocean, air, and land freight billing and payments.
  • Reconciles vendor statements and responds to vendor inquiries regarding invoices and payments.
  • Maintains accurate accounts payable records, spreadsheets, reports, and files.
  • Supports the accounting team with monthly and annual closing activities, including account reconciliations.
  • Provides general accounting and administrative support as needed.


Requirements

Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous accounting or accounts payable experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of General Ledger accounting principles.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Professional and responsive customer/vendor service skills.
  • Results-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-company environment.
  • Prior ERP experience is a plus.

Salary Description
$24 to $26
