Description

MD&A Outage Services division is looking for a highly motivated summer intern to assist our corporate accounting team in Latham, NY with the day to day functions, as well as special projects needed to support all the divisions within our business. This intern should be prepared to work in a fast-paced team environment and will complete the internship having gained broad experience in various aspects of accounting and business administration. This internship is an opportunity started Spring 2027 continuing through the summer and potentially the next school year. The student will work between 8-15 hours per week during the semester and switch to around 30 hours per week during the summer months. This is an in-person internship experience. The company is willing to offer as credit bearing.   


 

Responsibilities include assisting the accounting team with the following: 

· Assist in tracking job costs to ensure all information is accurate prior to billing the customer

· Verify & Reconcile hours worked on a job, travel expenses and other expendables

· Review proposal & contract information to gather rates and agreed upon terms

· Prepare Time & Material invoices to assist operations managers and controllers

· Compile, Analyze & Post Payroll Journal Entries for the Labor division

· Data analysis projects which include analysis, research, and reporting of information for internal uses

· Assist in the documentation and execution of internal controls

· Special projects as needed

· Help drive efficiency within the company through process improvement and automation

Requirements

Our Company is looking for an undergraduate student in the Albany area who is majoring in Accounting and entering their Junior, Senior or Masters year. This person should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, Excel and PowerPoint.
