The Talent Acquisition and Training Specialist is responsible for ensuring that the organization attracts, hires, and retains skilled employees while supporting continuous learning and professional growth. This dual role is strategic, contributing to workforce planning, organizational culture, and long-term business success.
Essential Functions
Talent Acquisition
- Manage the full recruitment cycle from job description development to onboarding of new hires
- Maintain Paylocity HCM recruiting portal as well as all recruitment related records
- Maintain HD Careers page on the Company web page keeping active postings up to date and graphics current and fresh.
- Source candidates through job boards, social media, networking, recruiters and referrals
- Collaborate with HR Manager to develop and implement recruitment strategies
- Screen resumes, conduct interviews, and assess both technical skills and cultural fit
- Build and maintain relationships with external staffing agencies, schools, and professional networks
- Attend job fairs, informational booths and special events for the purpose of employee recruitment and strategize which events to attend based on success
- Other duties as assigned
Training and Development Duties:
- Maintain organized and accurate employee training records, databases and associated documentation.
- Create e-learning and in-person training materials using Quality Management System (QMS) procedures, work instructions, company policies and best practices.
- Generate and distribute a weekly employee training status report to managers to ensure timely training completion
- Ensure accuracy and compliance of all trainings and training records.
- Evaluate training effectiveness and compliance objectives, adjusting content as needed based on feedback and assessment results Migrate historical training records into current e-learning database, while maintaining all training record
- Maintain knowledge of industry trends and best practices in training and development
- Provide internal and external audit support related to training and training record
- Collaborate with supervisors and managers to identify skill gaps and development opportunities
- Manage logistics (room set-up, catering, technology, scheduling, reminders) for on-site trainings
- Assist production employees with training completion
Required Competencies

- Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and effectively both verbally and written in English.
- Excellent computer skills including MS Office programs, HRIS and ERP platforms.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no direct reports.

Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related fields
Prior experience in maintaining training records to ISO, AS9100 or other regulated manufacturing environment standards helpful.
