Position Summary
HB Wealth is seeking an Investment Associate, OCIO to support the research, portfolio analysis, reporting, and day-to-day execution required to deliver HB Wealth’s OCIO services. Working with the Senior Investment Advisors and the Portfolio Manager, the Analyst helps evaluate investment managers and strategies, monitor institutional portfolios, prepare client and prospect materials, maintain accurate data, and coordinate team deliverables. This is an opportunity for an analytically strong professional seeking broad exposure to institutional investing and portfolio management.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare portfolio analyses, asset-allocation materials, performance summaries, exposure reports, liquidity schedules, and other recurring and ad hoc analyses.
- Assist with investment manager and strategy research, including data collection, qualitative and quantitative due diligence, meeting preparation, note-taking, and recommendation materials.
- Support the development and maintenance of client Investment Policy Statements, investment guidelines, target allocations, and implementation plans.
- Monitor portfolios for allocation drift, cash needs, liquidity constraints, guideline compliance, and other items requiring review by the Portfolio Manager or Senior Investment Advisors.
- Maintain accurate investment, portfolio, client, and prospect data across relevant systems, spreadsheets, and reporting tools.
- Prepare materials for client meetings, prospect presentations, finalist meetings, internal reviews, and Investment Committee discussions.
- Coordinate follow-up items across Investments, Operations, Client Service, Compliance, and other internal partners.
- Assist with RFP and due-diligence responses by sourcing, validating, and organizing investment and portfolio data.
- Identify opportunities to improve analytical tools, templates, reporting, documentation, and workflow efficiency.
- Complete special projects and provide general team support as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, or a related field.
- One to three years of relevant experience; investment-related internships or coursework are valued.
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to produce polished PowerPoint materials.
- Understanding of investment fundamentals, portfolio construction, risk, liquidity, and major public and private asset classes.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, documentation, and follow-through.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Client-first attitude, professional demeanor, personal integrity, and an understanding of fiduciary responsibility.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments in a collaborative, fast-paced, and entrepreneurial environment.
- Ability to successfully pass criminal background and credit checks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Progress toward the CFA designation or interest in pursuing relevant investment credentials.
- Experience with portfolio accounting, performance reporting, risk analytics, investment databases, or institutional consulting tools.
