We're seeking an experienced Inventory Specialist II to support our measurement operations team in Artesia, NM.


In this hands-on role, you’ll manage inventory activities from request through receipt and distribution, monitor stock levels, resolve discrepancies, coordinate with vendors and internal teams, support audits and reconciliations, and help keep materials moving efficiently across the operation. What You'll Do

  • Manage assigned inventory activities from request or replenishment through receipt, storage, staging, transfer, distribution, or delivery
  • Perform cycle counts, physical inventories, audits, and reconciliations, and research variances to support accurate inventory records
  • Monitor inventory levels, usage, shortages, and replenishment needs and take appropriate action to support material availability
  • Prepare, review, and process quotes, tickets, orders, and related inventory or material transactions
  • Support internal stakeholders and external customers with inventory, material, order, and fulfillment needs
  • Coordinate shipping, receiving, transfer, staging, and distribution activities, including use of applicable material-handling equipment
  • Coordinate with vendors regarding product availability, substitutions, lead times, delivery requirements, and order status
  • Place approved orders, monitor open orders through receipt or delivery, and follow up, expedite, adjust, or escalate as needed
  • Maintain and validate inventory, product, vendor, customer, and order data within applicable business systems
  • Identify recurring inventory discrepancies, shortages, order issues, or process gaps and recommend appropriate corrective actions
  • Support inventory reporting, audit preparation, and month-end activities, and provide task guidance to less experienced employees as assigned
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years of progressively responsible experience in inventory control, warehousing, logistics, order management, client services, or a related operational function
  • Strong working knowledge of inventory control, material handling, shipping and receiving, order management, inventory reconciliation, and related warehouse or distribution practices
  • Demonstrated experience researching inventory discrepancies, resolving routine inventory or order issues, and determining appropriate corrective or escalation actions
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and applicable inventory management, ERP, CRM, or order-management systems


Work Schedule & Environment

  • Full-time, onsite position
  • Work may involve varying temperatures, dust, noise, outdoor conditions, and non-climate-controlled work areas
