Job Summary/Purpose
The Construction Technician performs hands-on construction, renovation, maintenance, and repair work at convenience stores, fuel system locations, and other Company facilities. This role supports new store builds, remodels, fuel system installations, site improvements, and facility upgrades while ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with Company quality and compliance standards. The Construction Technician works closely with Project Managers, contractors, vendors, and internal teams to maintain project schedules and support operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment, including explosion-proof systems in hazardous locations.
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on lighting, panels, circuits, pumps, motors, signage, and related equipment.
- Assist with construction, remodel, demolition, site work, fuel system installations, concrete work, carpentry, painting, flooring, and finish work.
- Install and repair facility components such as lighting, doors, ceilings, interior finishes, plumbing, and electrical systems within training and licensing requirements.
- Read and follow construction drawings, work orders, layouts, and installation specifications.
- Coordinate and support contractors, vendors, and project teams to ensure work meets Company standards and project requirements.
- Travel to assigned locations to complete construction, maintenance, and repair projects.
- Maintain project timelines, document completed work, and communicate project status, delays, or material needs.
- Load, transport, organize, and manage tools, materials, equipment, and Company vehicles.
Safety, Compliance & General Expectations
- Follow all Company policies, OSHA regulations, safety procedures, and PPE requirements.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites; identify and report safety hazards or code concerns.
- Participate in inspections, walkthroughs, punch list completion, and quality assurance activities.
- Maintain professional relationships with internal teams, contractors, and vendors.
- Adapt to changing priorities, support multiple projects, travel regularly, and perform other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license and motor vehicle record compliant with Beck Supplier’s insurance requirements for operating a Company-owned vehicle
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
- BUSTR certified
- CDL endorsement

Travel Requirements and Work Schedule
- Travels to assigned store locations to perform construction and repair work as scheduled.
- Must be available to work early morning hours and other non-traditional hours as needed.
