The Product Manager defines the strategy, vision, and roadmap for assigned products, ensuring solutions align with customer needs and business objectives. This role identifies market opportunities, translates insights into product initiatives, and uses data and AI-enabled tools to prioritize investments and improve outcomes. Partnering across Engineering, Design, Sales, Marketing, Implementation, Customer Success, and Support, the Product Manager leads the product lifecycle and provides direction to assigned Engineering Leads. Success requires strong product judgment, analytical thinking, business acumen, people leadership, and the ability to balance customer value, technical feasibility, and operational execution.
Product Strategy & Vision
- Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap by balancing customer needs, business objectives, market opportunities, and data-driven insights.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, AI capabilities, and competitive trends to identify opportunities that strengthen customer outcomes and product differentiation.
- Prioritize the product backlog to maximize customer value, business impact, and delivery effectiveness.
Accountability & Results
- SLead product discovery, solution design, and Agile execution from concept through release.
- Define product requirements, acceptance criteria, and success metrics that enable high-quality product delivery.
- Design and execute experiments, beta programs, and validation activities that reduce product risk and improve customer outcomes.
Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement
- Leverage customer feedback, market research, product analytics, and AI-enabled insights to inform product decisions.
- Measure product performance using operational and business metrics, recommending improvements based on observed outcomes.
- Ensure AI-enabled features are developed responsibly by considering privacy, transparency, equity, and customer trust.
Collaboration & Communication
- Partner with Engineering, Design, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Implementation, and Support to align priorities and deliver successful product outcomes.
- Communicate product strategy, roadmap priorities, customer insights, and product performance to stakeholders through clear, data-informed updates.
- Champion effective product management practices and responsible AI adoption across cross-functional teams.
People Leadership & Talent Development
- Lead, coach, and develop the Engineering Lead(s) assigned to your product area through regular feedback, performance management, and professional development.
- Establish clear priorities, expectations, and accountability that enable Engineering Leads to deliver product objectives while fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Support career development by identifying growth opportunities and encouraging leadership development for your Engineering Lead(s).
- Foster an environment of trust, ownership, and customer focus; recognize achievements and address performance challenges constructively.
This role is remote with up to 15% travel.

- 3–5 years of experience managing a product or major feature area with demonstrated ownership across the product lifecycle
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Education, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated ability to define product vision, prioritize roadmaps, manage backlogs, and deliver successful products
- Technical understanding of software architecture, APIs, integrations, data pipelines, and platform capabilities sufficient to collaborate effectively with Engineering
- Working knowledge of AI/ML product concepts and experience defining, testing, or iterating on AI-enabled features using AI-powered tools for research, analysis, and product execution
- Strong analytical thinking with the ability to use customer insights, analytics, and experimentation to make informed product decisions
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and translate complex technical concepts into business value
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional product initiatives, build consensus across stakeholder groups, and guide engineering execution through effective leadership and influence.
- Proficiency with Linear, Agile/Scrum methodologies, product analytics platforms, experimentation frameworks, and AI productivity tools
- Understands market dynamics, customer needs, competitive positioning, and business tradeoffs when making product decisions
- Self-directed, adaptable, customer-focused, and comfortable making independent decisions in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), PMP, or equivalent Agile certification
- Experience in SaaS, EdTech, or enterprise software environments
- Experience defining and shipping AI/ML-enabled features
- Experience using experimentation frameworks (A/B testing) and product analytics to guide decisions
- Experience conducting customer discovery, usability research, and market validation
- Experience working with APIs, integrations, platform products, or data-driven applications
- Knowledge of responsible AI, privacy, transparency, and AI governance in education
- Demonstrated use of AI tools to improve product discovery, prioritization, and execution
