Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour (based on experience)
Shift: Monday - Friday | 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM


Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner / Scheduler / Working Maintenance Technician to join our team in Atlanta, GA. This is a hands-on leadership role for a maintenance professional who can successfully balance maintenance planning and scheduling responsibilities while actively supporting maintenance operations on the production floor.

This position serves as the primary point of contact between maintenance and the customer, ensuring maintenance work is properly planned, scheduled, communicated, and executed. The ideal candidate enjoys interacting with customers, coordinating maintenance activities, and rolling up their sleeves to assist with repairs, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance when needed.


What You'll Do

Maintenance Planning & Scheduling

  • Plan and schedule daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate maintenance work with customer representatives and operations personnel.
  • Create work orders and job plans including labor, tools, materials, and safety requirements.
  • Maintain and prioritize maintenance backlogs within the CMMS.
  • Track equipment downtime, maintenance KPIs, and schedule compliance.
  • Lead maintenance planning discussions and coordinate upcoming work.
  • Ensure maintenance documentation is accurate and completed on time.

Customer Communication

  • Serve as the primary maintenance contact for the customer.
  • Work closely with production and operations teams to prioritize maintenance needs.
  • Communicate maintenance schedules, equipment status, and planned downtime.
  • Build strong working relationships through responsiveness, professionalism, and follow-through.

Hands-On Maintenance Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
  • Diagnose equipment issues and complete corrective repairs.
  • Support conveyors, motors, gearboxes, bearings, drives, and other production equipment.
  • Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and reliability improvements.
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and emergency maintenance situations.
  • Work alongside technicians and support daily maintenance operations.
Requirements

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience.
  • Previous experience with maintenance planning, scheduling, CMMS systems, or maintenance leadership preferred.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience working directly with customers or production teams.
  • Knowledge of PLCs, automation, conveyors, hydraulics, and pneumatics preferred.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
