Description
The Senior Software Developer, Applications will support the Department of State (DOS) with the development, modernization, integration, enhancement, and sustainment of enterprise applications. The position will provide technical expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, Microsoft Power Platform, .NET technologies, application integration, cloud migration, and SQL Server database development. The Senior Software Developer will collaborate with government stakeholders, project managers, developers, and other technical personnel to design and implement application solutions, support production systems, and deliver enhancements that meet user and business requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Apprise the Project Manager, COR, and GTM of significant IT operations and application development issues in a timely manner.
- Help lead the transformation of existing applications and design new applications for modernized interfaces and architectures.
- Interact with systems experts, developers, and programmers on the design and execution of migration from current platforms to cloud-based platforms.
- Attend customer meetings as requested and serve as the primary liaison for technical-based solutions.
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise solutions within Dynamics 365 CRM and the Microsoft Power Platform.
- Configure custom entities, forms, views, business rules, workflows, and CRM security models.
- Develop CRM plug-ins, JavaScript web resources, and custom business logic using C#, JavaScript, and the Dynamics CRM SDK.
- Build and maintain Power Apps and Power Automate workflows to support business process automation.
- Develop and enhance custom applications using .NET, ASP.NET, Web API, C#, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and related technologies.
- Integrate Dynamics 365 CRM and Power Platform solutions with external systems using REST APIs, OData, JSON, XML, and web services.
- Support SQL Server database development, including stored procedures, views, triggers, data queries, and reporting support.
- Support automated notifications, workflow processes, and system-triggered business logic.
- Troubleshoot application issues, support production systems, and implement enhancements based on user and stakeholder needs.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, estimation, and status updates.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, document technical solutions, and deliver high-quality software.
Requirements
Required Skills:
- 10+ years of experience in the IT services or development field.
- Experience supporting IT application migration and development projects.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in statistics, computer science, mathematics, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience working with a cloud environment
- Hands-on experience developing and supporting Dynamics 365 CRM solutions
- Experience with Power Platform, including Power Apps and Power Automate
- Strong development experience with C#, JavaScript, .NET, ASP.NET, Web API or similar Microsoft technologies
- Experience developing CRM plugins, JavaScript web resources, custom entities, forms, views, workflows and security roles Procurement Sensitive Information 6
- Experience integrating enterprise applications using REST APIs, OData, JSON, XML and related integration methods
- Strong SQL Server experience, including database development, stored procedures, views, triggers and reporting queries.
- Ability to lead projects using the Scrum/Agile framework and methodology.
- Experience leading teams, able to motivate and engage.
- Ideally has experience working in the Federal Government.
Salary Description
$155,000 - $165,000
