We're seeking an experienced Field Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Manager to serve as a visible safety leader across our expanding portfolio of manufacturing businesses. This role will play a critical part in advancing our safety culture, supporting operational excellence, and helping recently acquired businesses successfully integrate into the IWS organization.

What you'll do

As a Field HSE Manager, you'll work directly with plant leaders, supervisors, and employees to drive meaningful safety improvements across multiple facilities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conduct facility safety assessments, audits, inspections, and workplace observations
  • Identify hazards, assess operational risks, and implement practical corrective actions
  • Develop and enhance safety programs, procedures, and documentation
  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action efforts
  • Deliver engaging site-specific and enterprise-wide safety training
  • Partner with operations and HR to strengthen onboarding and safety orientation programs
  • Support regulatory compliance and audit readiness initiatives
  • Track safety trends, leading indicators, and facility performance metrics
  • Provide professional reports and recommendations to operational and executive leadership
  • Serve as a trusted safety advisor and coach across multiple manufacturing locations
Requirements

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience.  
  • Significant safety experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial operations
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry best practices
  • Certified Safety and Health Official (CSHO) or equivalent professional safety credential
  • Experience implementing safety management systems and programs
  • Proven ability to conduct audits, inspections, investigations, and risk assessments
  • Strong communication, coaching, and leadership skills
  • Experience developing and delivering employee safety training
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regularly, including overnight travel

  • Hazard Communication
  • Respiratory Protection
  • Hearing Conservation
  • Emergency Preparedness
  • Industrial Hygiene
  • Ergonomics
  • Contractor Safety

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience in metals manufacturing, fabrication, machining, welding, or assembly operations
  • Multi-site manufacturing safety leadership experience
  • Experience supporting acquisitions or rapidly growing organizations
  • Knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001 management systems
  • CSP, ASP, CHST, OHST, CIH, or similar professional certifications
  • Experience coaching leaders and influencing safety culture at all organizational levels

Location & Travel: This role will be primarily based at our Brenham, TX facility, with approximately 50-75% of time spent onsite in Brenham and the remaining time supporting operations in Austin.

Salary range*: $100-$125k

*The provided base salary range is used nationally. The rate offered is compliant with federal/local regulations and may vary by experience, certification/education, market conditions, location, etc.
