Amazing Opportunity:
We’re growing and so it our payroll function! If you have a strong understanding of payroll processes, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, this role is for you. The Payroll Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the payroll function, ensuring accuracy, and assisting with related tasks.
Your day will consist of the following activities:
- Payroll Processing:
- Assist in the accurate and timely processing of payroll for employees.
- Ensure proper calculation and distribution of wages, bonuses, and other compensations.
- Manage garnishments and other liens
2. Data Management:
- Maintain and update employee records, including changes in personal information, tax status, and other relevant data.
- Input payroll information into the system with a high level of accuracy.
3. Timekeeping:
- Review and verify timekeeping records for accuracy.
- Address discrepancies and work with relevant departments to ensure correct information.
4. Problem resolution and compliance:
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in payroll records
- Stay informed about federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with labor laws and other relevant regulations.
5. Reporting and analysis:
- Generate payroll reports as needed for accounting and brokers
- Prepare and maintain accurate payroll documentation.
6. Colleague Inquiries:
- Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with other members of PSO to address and resolve payroll-related issues.
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience in payroll – multi-state experience a plus
- Solid knowledge of payroll processes, taxation, and compliance.
- Familiarity with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
- Proficient in payroll software and MS Office, especially Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Availability:
This role is part-time and averages 20 hours per week that can be either 4 hours over 5 days, or a few days per week.
