Position Summary

Cool By Design is seeking an experienced HVAC Install Supervisor to help prepare and oversee residential HVAC installations. This role reviews each job before it reaches the installation team, confirms the scope and materials, resolves questions with sales and operations, and provides technical direction to installers.

The right person is detail-oriented, communicates clearly, and takes ownership of making sure crews have what they need to complete safe, accurate, professional installations.

What You’ll Do

• Review sales packets, job notes, photos, equipment selections, and installation details before work is scheduled or assigned.
• Confirm the scope of work and identify missing information, sizing concerns, space limitations, or material needs.
• Work with sales and office teams to clarify customer expectations and resolve discrepancies before installation.
• Prepare clear work order instructions and accurate material lists for installation crews.
• Provide installers with technical guidance and help resolve job-related questions.
• Monitor installation quality and help address issues that could lead to delays, callbacks, or rework.
• Respond to customer concerns professionally and coordinate solutions with the appropriate team members.
• Help ensure work follows applicable building codes, manufacturer instructions, safety practices, and company standards.
• Support an organized, accountable installation team and reinforce clean, professional jobsite practices.

• Installation crews receive complete job information, clear instructions, and the right materials.
• Scope or equipment issues are resolved before they delay the job.
• Installations meet customer expectations and company quality standards.
• Sales, office, and field teams communicate effectively throughout each project.
• Jobs are completed safely, with fewer avoidable callbacks and repeat visits.

Required Qualifications

• 10 or more years of HVAC industry experience.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, terminology, applications, and installation practices.
• Ability to review job packets, photos, equipment selections, and work scopes for accuracy.
• Strong organization, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to maintain clear job documentation.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, sales staff, office teams, technicians, and installers.
• Valid driver’s license and a driving record acceptable under company requirements.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to complete required background and drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications

• HVAC installation leadership or supervisory experience.
• Residential HVAC installation experience.
• Experience reviewing installation scopes, job packets, and material lists.
• Knowledge of applicable building codes and manufacturer installation standards.
• ServiceTitan experience.
• EPA or NATE certification.
• Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

This role involves office coordination and visits to installation jobsites. Specific physical requirements and field expectations will be reviewed with candidates during the hiring process.
