Position Summary
The Warehouse Material Handler is responsible for identifying, staging, tracking, and delivering received materials from the warehouse to the production floor accurately and in a timely manner.
Work Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 3:00 p.m. – 1:30 a.m.

Material Delivery & Scheduling
- Coordinate with the Procurement Manager to support both planned and unplanned material workflow.
- Track, monitor, and deliver materials throughout the IE facility to Point of Use locations, inventory, and/or job carts.
- Deliver all items received daily from the 4-wheeler trailer to the shop floor, ensuring the trailer is empty by the end of the day.
- Deliver materials requested by production floor line leads or Project Managers directly to the appropriate individual and obtain required sign-off.
- Maintain the Material Request Queue and ensure materials are delivered promptly to will-call or the shop floor. When necessary, PM/Final employees may retrieve materials from will-call if the Material Handler is behind (see Tier Allowances).
- Ensure received goods are properly identified and staged for manufacturing, rebuild, or routing to other departments within the company.
- Review production schedules to determine when kitted job carts need to be prepared and distributed to the shop floor.
- Ensure job carts are accurate and contain all required parts. BOMs for jobs must be signed off when job carts are distributed.
- Return completed job carts to the warehouse after jobs leave the test department. Document and return leftover materials to inventory and communicate with buyers regarding supplier returns.
- Ensure inventory and materials are stored in an organized and accessible manner.
- Coordinate the salvage of damaged or previously used materials.
- Operate forklifts to move or hoist shipments from the warehouse to storage areas or other designated locations.
- Communicate with appropriate department heads to coordinate shipping, receiving, and warehouse activities with production, sales, and other company functions.
- Coordinate weekly scheduled review meetings focused on planning and continuous improvement.
- Maintain clear communication with Project Managers regarding the kitting of materials for job carts.
- Oversee the organization, maintenance, and cleanliness of warehouse areas.
- Assist with cycle counts and ongoing inventory maintenance.
Tools and Equipment
- Safely operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and hoists when moving, unloading, or loading materials.
- Operate miscellaneous hand tools as required.
- Properly care for and maintain tools to ensure they remain in good operating condition.
- Ensure tools and equipment are properly stored at the end of each shift.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required, along with a minimum of three years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations.
- Strong knowledge of IE’s organizational structure, operations, and established shipping and receiving practices and procedures.
- Working knowledge and understanding of the production and manufacturing of electrical distribution equipment used within the mining industry.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and push or pull up to 100 lbs.
- Must be able to read English, accurately count materials, perform basic mathematical calculations, and write legibly in English.
- Must have the ability to safely operate Company forklifts.
- Strong attention to detail with effective organizational skills.
- Must demonstrate reliability, dependability, responsibility, and the ability to consistently meet job obligations.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, EPICOR, and other specialized purchasing applications.
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization, as well as customers and vendors.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Must possess basic computational and mathematical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and responsibilities in a fast-paced work environment.
- Must be able to establish work priorities and perform responsibilities with minimal supervision.

- Must be able to work a 48-hour work week.
Work Schedule: Must be available to work a 40-hour work week, as well as additional hours when required.
